Imation Corp, a maker of removable data storage medium, today unveiled a 4GB version of its Micro Hard Drive line. This new storage option is priced at $189 and should be available now.
Imation’s Micro Hard Drives, the company said, measure 1.61†x .66†x 3.3†and feature a flexible USB 2.0 connector which can be used to lock directly into a USB port or be used to clip the drive to a belt loop or keychain. The Micro Hard Drives use 128-bit encryption and security software to protect their data contents. The software can also do file synchronization and compression.
“From its unique design to its maximum reliability and file security, the incredibly portable Imation Micro Hard Drive is perfect for mobile professionals to transport, share and carry monster-sized files,” said Tom Lally, U.S. executive director of sales and marketing, Imation. “Now our customers can benefit from the convenience and performance of the higher capacity 4GB drive and software upgrades that make the drive even more efficient and easier to use.”
