A small, but growing business sector of the iPod accessories market is businesses which take your CDs and load them onto your iPod for you for a fee. One company in this space, LoadPod, is taking it one step further by announcing last week they were launching a DVD movie loading service for users of the fifth generation iPod with video support.
LoadPod’s new 5G iPod loading service picks up the customer’s iPod and DVD collection at the customer’s home or office, and returns the iPod fully loaded in a few days. Movies are encoded into 320×240 display format and take up what LoadPod says is an average of less than one gigabyte of iPod space apiece.
LoadPod is currently running this new service in New York City, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Seattle.
