Adr1ft looks like Gravity: The Video Game and that’s just awesome

Remember how tense it was to watch Sandra Bullock float helplessly through space with dwindling oxygen and no safe haven in director Alfonso Cuaron’s film, Gravity? That’s what it looks like publisher 505 Games and developer Three One Zero are shooting for in Adr1ft, based on gameplay featured in a new trailer that debuted at the 2014 Game Awards.

Described by the publisher as a “first-person experience,” Adr1ft follows an astronaut who’s been stranded in orbit after a catastrophic event leaves a space station in ruins. With no other survivors to lean on for help and a zero-gravity wasteland of wreckage to pick through for resources, it’s on the player to survive and, with a little luck, escape.

Aion 2’s naughty character customization is the least interesting thing about it

It has surprisingly good combat and flying, but its monetization is much harder to defend.

I’m not a big fan of MMORPGs, but Aion 2’s rise to the top of the Steam charts with over 400,000 concurrent players was enough to pique my interest. Yes, the game has a breast size slider, and no, I don’t think it’s a big deal when it sits among some 200 other customization options in one of the deepest character creators I have ever seen. And yeah, the options run deeper than Cyberpunk 2077. Yet most discussions online barely mention the game itself.

AMD’s FSR 4 is coming to handhelds, but your Steam Deck might be left out

AMD is bringing its FSR 4 upscaling technology to handheld gaming PCs by the end of 2026, potentially giving portable devices a welcome boost in gaming performance. The catch? It is still unclear whether existing devices such as the Steam Deck and ROG Ally will get the upgrade or whether gamers will need to buy new hardware.

AMD consumer chip chief Jack Huynh confirmed the expansion in comments to South Korean publication The Elec. The company plans to bring its machine-learning-based FSR 4 technology to APUs, gaming laptops and handheld devices, expanding it beyond the desktop graphics cards it initially supported.

ARC Raiders just dropped its biggest update yet, and I’m having a blast

After watching all of those teasers and trailers, I avoided any of the early impressions of Arc Raiders' latest update from gaming channels on YouTube and dived right into the new map, Pendola Pass. Embark’s massive 2.0 update introduces a snowy Italian mountain settlement beyond the Rust Belt where one of the enormous Emperor ARC machines has somehow fallen.

After a few raids, I thought I had seen everything, from the new Arc enemies to the new map. But just before I was getting ready to drop into Pendola Pass for the fifth time, that's when I noticed the Frigate mentioned on Blue Gate. So obviously, I went to check it out. As I first laid eyes on this flying fortress, I knew we're so back.
