Win a copy of Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection for the PSN!

Behold, we have two codes to giveaway for Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection, the remastered collection that contains two games originally released on the Wii, now available as one downloadable offering via the PlayStation Network.

The collection features 2007’s Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, as well as 2009’s Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles. Both titles originally appeared exclusively on the Wii, but Capcom has thrown on a shiny new coat of paint and released them into the wild for PS3 owners to experience.

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles was released between Resident Evil 4 and RE5, and it retells the events of earlier games from the point-of-view of Albert Wesker and an Umbrella Corp scientist, filling in gaps up through RE3: Nemesis.

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles was released after Resident Evil 5, but like its companion it retells earlier events, this time through the eyes of Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy.

If you are a fan of the series—and not just the games, but the overall mythology created by Capcom for the Resident Evil universe—then both titles are musts to learn more about what is going on.

So, how can you get ahold of these games? Shy of just, ya know, buying them? Enter a comment below telling us what your favorite survival horror game of all time is, and you will automatically be entered to win. The winner will be selected on Tuesday, July 31 at noon. We will send codes to winners that afternoon.

That’s it, comment to win. The contest is open to North American residents only. Good luck to all!

Thanks to everyone that entered!  The winners have been notified.  Keep checking back for more contests, we have plenty planned in the coming weeks.

Closed Xbox studios pitched sequels to Hi-Fi Rush, Dishonored
Key art for Dishonored

Microsoft shocked its fans earlier this week with the closure of Tango Gameworks, Arkane Austin, and Mighty Dog Games. Now, we've learned more about what these studios were working on.

A new report from Bloomberg delved into the fallout of these closures by Microsoft. Its anonymous sources claimed that "Tango was in the process of pitching a sequel" to Hi-Fi Rush, the critically acclaimed rhythm action game that launched last year. That certainly comes as a disappointment, as what could've potentially become a new hallmark franchise for Microsoft and Bethesda was kneecapped before it could truly take off.

XFX SPEEDSTER SWFT210 AMD Radeon RX 6600 Core 8GB GDDR6 -- $230, was $280

XFX is a pretty well-known brand that makes AMD Radeon GPUs, so you're getting a good-quality device right out of the gate. It has an impressive 8GB GDDR6, at least for this price bracket, and will give you a bit longer life out of it when games start using up a lot more VRAM, even at lower graphical settings. While the base clock runs at 2.0 GHz, the boosted clock speed is 2.5 GHz which is pretty good, and the whole thing is unlocked, so you could theoretically boost it higher if you have the right cooling. This RTX 6600 can support resolutions up to 8K, but really, this is an ideal 1080p gaming GPU.
