Polaroid GL10 instant mobile printer up for grabs

GL10Back in January, we got a look at Polaroid’s Lady Gaga-influenced new lineup at CES, including the GL10 instant mobile printer. Lady Gaga herself was on hand to reveal the products and offered us a demo of the printer in use by remotely printing a photo from her BlackBerry. The GL10 is compatible with Bluetooth-enabled devices – except one very important one: The iPhone. We’ve been hearing a solution is on the way, but for now you’ll have to be satisfied with Windows Phones, BlackBerries, and Androids. It can also connect to computers and cameras via USB.

Mobile printers aren’t the hottest thing on the market right now, but the GL10’s wireless connectivity and sleek design help set it apart from the competition. It’s a mere 15-ounces and of course, produces photos with that classic Polaroid layout (although you have the option for full-bleed photos as well). It’s Li-ion battery means you aren’t stuck recharging the thing constantly.

It will be available in June for $170, and is on pre-sale now.

Now we just have to wait for those Gaga glasses with a built-in camera that displays the images on the lenses. Oh and of course, the Polaroid GL30, the manufacturer’s coming camera that combines its classic instant print devices with new digital cameras completely with social integration. But the GL30 we saw at CES was only a prototype, so don’t hold your breath.
