Fast and Furious meets Jason Bourne in new Hitman: Agent 47 trailer

20th Century Fox debuted the trailer for Hitman: Agent 47 this week, offering audiences their first look at the fast-paced action film based on the popular video game series.

The film casts Homeland actor Rupert Friend as a genetically engineered assassin on the trail of a woman who might hold the key to unlocking his mysterious past, including the secrets behind the program that created him and other lethal agents like him. Star Trek actor Zachary Quinto plays a supporting role in the film, along with a cast of mostly unknowns including Hannah Ware (Betrayal), Thomas Kretschmann (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Dan Bakkedahl (The Heat) and Ciaran Hinds (The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby).

Based on the Eidos Interactive (and later Square Enix) game series, Hitman: Agent 47 is the second attempt to turn the game franchise into a big-screen property after 2007’s Hitman (starring Timothy Olyphant) turned a modest profit in the worldwide market but was a critical disappointment.

Hitman: Agent 47 is directed by Aleksander Bach and hits theaters August 28.

The 5 best Godzilla movies, ranked
Godzilla strikes an impressive pose in Godzilla Minus One.

This week, Godzilla is back in theaters with Godzilla Minus One, the first Japanese film in the franchise since 2016's Shin Godzilla. So far, the early box office projections have Godzilla Minus One finishing at No.3 this weekend with over $11 million. American audiences seem more conditioned to show up for Legendary's MonsterVerse movies than the genuine article straight from Japan.

But if you have only ever watched the American Godzilla films, including the truly awful 1998 reboot, then you're missing out on some of the best monster movies ever made. Japan has been producing Godzilla films since 1954, and while not all of them are great, the ones that get it right are the reason why Godzilla movies are still being made nearly seven decades after the King of the Monsters made his debut.

Dish has ESPN, TNT, and NBA TV for basketball fans under one roof [Sponsored]
NBA basketball hoop on Dish Network

Lately, it's become apparent that the best place to catch basketball games is Dish. They've got so much under one service and sports fans can't quit rejoicing over it. For example, you can see every NFL game on Dish. Not some on Dish, some on YouTube, and a few others on that questionably legal streaming site; just all on Dish. Basketball fans deserve similar treatment and with Dish they get it. Right now, you can get ESPN, TNT, and NBA TV together, for as low as $105 per month when you sign up for Dish. Plus, if you switch to Dish now, you get $100 back to spend how you like. That can pay for Dish's NBA League Pass or go towards a month of service, effectively giving you one month of Dish for just $5. Tap the button below to see the plans yourself, or keep reading to see why we like Dish and these channels for basketball.

Why you should sign up for Dish to watch basketball
One of the first things to recognize about the Dish service is just how inclusive it is. Which it does require installation — it is a satellite-receiver based service — that installation can go anywhere. That includes places where high speed internet companies and typical cable providers don't have the infrastructure for. You know the type of place. Plus, it has great features, like Dish multi-view, to watch 2-4 games at once and possibly even record up to 16.
