Lady Gaga made headlines over the weekend for her Oscars tribute to The Sound of Music, and now she’s back in the news again with confirmation that she’ll join the cast of the celebrated anthology series American Horror Story.

The musician used Twitter to announce her participation in the next installment of the series — titled American Horror Story: Hotel — posting a promotional photo with the caption “Make your reservation now.”

Beyond the title of the new season, little is known about the premise, Lady Gaga’s character, or who will be returning from the series’ recurring cast. Previous seasons of the series have followed the inhabitants of a haunted house, the residents and staff of an asylum, a coven of witches, and most recently, a traveling circus sideshow.

The role is expected to be Lady Gaga’s first major acting gig, after having cameos in Sin City: A Dame To Kill For and Machete Kills.

American Horror Story: Hotel is expected to premiere on FX in October.

Evan Peters is chilling in Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story
Evan Peters in Dahmer - Monster: the Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

The word "monster" is thrown around so often that it's lost a lot of its meaning. It's supposed to be a word that describes something horrific and evil beyond description. In the case of Jeffrey Dahmer, monster is the only word that is appropriate. Beneath the surface of his benign appearance lies the heart of a serial killer who preyed upon young men and boys between 1978 and 1991. Cannibalism, necrophilia, torture, murder, and sexual assault were just some of his crimes. Now, Netflix is offering a new exploration of this killer in the upcoming miniseries, Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
