War arrives in the final trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, the second chapter of Peter Jackson’s adaptation of the famous J.R.R. Tolkien story, concluded in fiery fashion with Bilbo Baggins and the dwarves challenging the great dragon Smaug for control of Lonely Mountain. The fighting is far from over, though, as the final trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies makes abundantly clear.

Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema debuted the final trailer for the third installment of The Hobbit trilogy, and the footage offers a glimpse of the carnage set to unfold as the various races of Middle-earth face a choice between fighting amongst each other or uniting against a far more dangerous enemy. With the dwarves prepared to defend their home against any perceived threat from man, elf, or orc, Bilbo (Martin Freeman) is caught between the various factions vying for control of the mountain.

armyof one trailer nicolas cage gary faulkner army of feat

Sometimes a movie comes along that's so crazy it just might work -- and that's particularly true when Nicolas Cage is involved.

That sort of absurdity seems to be the primary hook for Army of One, which casts Cage as amateur terrorist hunter Gary Faulkner, the (real-life) former convict and construction worker who famously traveled to Pakistan to hunt Osama bin Laden with a sword he bought on a home-shopping channel and a pistol he brought from his home in Colorado. The satirical comedy puts a wild spin on Faulkner's adventure -- a quest he was directed by God to undertake, he claims -- and offers what appears to be a pretty great one-two punch of bizarre, real-world story and one of the best actors you're going to get to play a character this eccentric.
