Ricoh Tours is a simple way for realtors to share 360-degree home tours

Ricoh Innovations Corporation, a subsidiary of Ricoh, has announced the launch of Ricoh Tours, an service that helps real estate agents uses its Theta V camera and an online portal to easily capture and create 360 tours of homes and apartments.

Currently, there are over 2 million licensed real estate agents in the United States. While the number of practicing agents is lower than that, there are still a large number of agents who could dramatically benefit from more immersive tours of houses and apartments.

Immersive tours are nothing new in the real estate market. Companies such as Matterport have been in the game for a while. The problem is the cost. The equipment is considerably high and getting it set up is complicated.

Ricoh Tours hopes to break down the barriers to entry, in both operation and cost. For $45 per month, realtors will be able to capture and host unlimited active tours. The only gear needed is the Ricoh Tours app — available for both Android and iOS — and Ricoh’s reality kit, which includes a Ricoh Theta V camera and the TM-1, a monopod that can stand on its own. The kit is available for purchase through the Ricoh Tours subscription plan for $420 — less than the cost of the Theta V alone, which retails for $430.

One of the selling points Ricoh emphasizes is the ease of use. After pairing the Ricoh Theta V with the Ricoh Tour app, it’s just a matter of setting up the camera in each room and snapping a shot. According to Ricoh, an average three-bedroom, two-bathroom house should take no more than 20 minutes to capture from beginning to end.

Another selling point is that the Ricoh Tours app helps provide realtors with analytics. By better understanding how homebuyers and renters are viewing and keeping an eye on properties, they can better adjust how they approach each sale.

In the press release for the Ricoh Tours announcement, Bret Shugrue, the marketing director of Bogar Pilkington Group, a real estate group from Colorado, said “our clients expect results, and this service helps our team to deliver quickly and easily – with no outside assistance or technology experience required. Our agents are truly impressed with its simplicity, and its affordability.”

You can find out more information and start your subscription through Ricoh Tours’ website.

Canon’s smallest EOS R camera just got a $200 discount
Canon EOS R100 mirrorless camera with lens attached

Target is an excellent source of camera deals. Just last week it had a $300 discount on the Fujifilm X-T50 mirrorless digital camera bundle, and today it has an amazing offer for the Canon EOS R100. From its original price of $600, the mirrorless camera is down to a more affordable $400, for $200 in savings. We're not sure how long you have to take advantage of this offer though, so if you're interested in making this purchase, you should probably complete the transaction right now if you want to enjoy the 33% discount.

Why you should buy the Canon EOS R100 mirrorless camera
The Canon EOS R100 is the smallest model in the brand's EOS R series of mirrorless cameras, which makes it a perfect choice for rookie photographers. Unlike a DSLR camera, which uses a mirror for their optical viewfinder, a mirrorless camera uses an imaging sensor for a digital preview of the picture that you're planning to take. The lack of the mirror makes mirrorless cameras much smaller than DSLR cameras, and that's very apparent with the Canon EOS R100, as it only measures about 6.1 inches by 7.9 inches by 7.6 inches, and it weights just about 2 pounds.

The best photo printers you can buy in 2024
Alan compares draft, standard, and high-quality photos from Epson's EcoTank ET-8500.

If you love sharing photo prints or building physical photo albums, you might want to upgrade to a photo printer. When manufacturers optimize printers for pictures, the results often exceed the image quality of the best printers available.

Compared to sending photos to a lab or printing at a local office store, you have faster feedback and more control when you create pictures on your own photo printer. If you decide a print would benefit from a color or exposure adjustment, you can quickly make that change and print again with minimal delay. A printer that handles photos well offers instant gratification and convenience, while saving you money on print costs from a photo lab.
