BioWare’s ‘Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic’ is out now for iPad

BioWare’s beloved Star Wars role-playing game, Knights of the Old Republic, is available now on Apple’s iPad for $9.99. The game was ported to iOS by Aspyr, the same studio responsible for the original Mac OS X port in 2004 (along with many other PC-to-Mac ports). It may not show up in your App Store search just yet, but KOTOR is definitely available.

The game’s user interface is optimized now for touchscreen controls, according to Aspyr. The team also addressed some unspecified “legacy issues” that ought to improve playability. The announcement describes the port as “the full KOTOR experience.”

The release arrived today with little fanfare, though IGN shared impressions from an early look in a newly posted review. You can check that out for more details.
