OK people, let’s get down to brass tacks. We here at DT like gaming. If you are reading this article then you most likely enjoy gaming as well (or free stuff, which is fair). We have a bunch of games to give away, and so we had an idea. It was revolutionary. The first of its kind! We’ll give the games away to people and call it a “giveaway!” That’s breakthrough thinking right there.
Assuming your mind is not yet blown, then here is what we were thinking: Head on over to the DT Gaming section, then post your favorite gaming story you’ve seen recently in the comments below. We just want to know what you like, and what you want to see more of from the gaming news.
So that’s it — just comment below and let us know your favorite gaming stories that you read on DT gaming, and you will be entered to win a copy of Ubisoft’s Driver: San Francisco for the PS3, one of the best and most underrated games of 2011. Check out our full review.
The contest will run from now until Friday, April 13 at noon PST. We will then contact the winner, and once they have confirmed they are a genuine human being, we will let everyone know the contest is kaput… and there’s more.
We have a handful of games to give away, and each week for the rest of the month we will have a different game to offer. It may be for the 360, it may be for the PS3. We’ll keep it spicy, so check back each week for a new giveaway!
Update: Apologies on any confusion, but a winner has been selected and notified.
We will be running more contests in the future, so keep an eye out for the next giveaway, coming soon!
Update: Hey all. Just to be clear, we are looking for your favorite gaming stories that you read on DT’s gaming page, but all comments will be entered for a chance to win.
wow, still now results ???
Sorry about the delay in announcing the conclusion of the contest. We did have a winner though. That person was chosen at the end of the contest and has long since received his game. You raise a good point though, and we’ll be sure to let everyone know when a contest has concluded.
no problem, thanks for the reply and letting me know about it
Any news on the winner of this game, it’s way past the 13th
I enjoyed http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/half-byte-loader-creator-talks-homebrew-and-sonys-fight-against-pirates-on-vita/
I typically click through and read stories about the gaming industry, especially interview based. Game reviews, sometimes, but not as much.
http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/department-of-homeland-security-contract-seeks-to-hack-game-consoles-to-obtain-user-data/ A really cool article kinda tells you the depth of online gaming nowadays
“US Government to use Unreal Engine 3 for medical…” I enjoy articles that discuss gaming engines and the behind the scenes programming that goes into creating games. It is also cool to see the other benefits games can provide including training for real world jobs.
Although I am an avid reader of DT in general I keep a close eye on your gaming section because I teach gaming! Last month I read an article on the game Journey titled “Journey breaks PSN sales records as thatgamecompany president leaves studio” interestingly enough the day before I had just completed the game so the timing was quite coincidental. I first saw this game while attending the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco this year and I was delighted to come home and give the game a shot on my PlayStation. I like to read about information on independent developers and their projects especially if its something new and unique like Journey was.
I enjoy reading articles about upcoming games, dlc’s, or hardware. I like to stay in the loop about what is fresh and new. Most all the time I hear about these things through DigitalTrends anyways, so just keep doing what you are already doing.
I like the review of some of my favorite games, Silent Hill HD Collection review. Please accept my entry. Thank you.
my fave story i read on here has to be Double Dragon: Neon
http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/wayforward-headbutts-xbla-psn-with-double-dragon-neon/
classic games coming back on these new consoles is just great bring back memorys lol there is alot of old games that should defo come back and double dragon was one of them :)
I thought it was interesting trivia that kim.com megaupload guy was top ranked call of duty player.
It will be interesting to see how the Planetside 2/free-to-play model goes. Enticing yes, but hard to believe that any company isn’t going to want more income than skins and such provide. Die-hard pc gamers will surely give it a go. (that it might come to a console interested me.) I’ll be paying attention, as per your instructions.
My favourite gaming story is “Angry Birds Space first, then Angry Birds theme parks” because it was news that nobody else reported on but was really interesting to see how far Angry Birds has gone.
i remember when i was running around my house when i found out that Ubisoft finally released Assassins Creed Brotherhood out on mac. :D
