Passive aggression abounds in hilarious first clip from Kimmy Schmidt Season 2

It’s alive, dammit! It’s a miracle!

The sophomore season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is around the corner and — after teasing us with a cheesy music video, a high-fashion-style promo, and an official trailer — Netflix has released the first actual footage of Season 2.

It comes in the form of a 40-second clip that features Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) meeting “former fellow-housewife,” Deidre (Anna Camp), as the two have an exchange that would make the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County swoon.

Glasses of wine in hand, they chat away on a public bench at the edge of Central Park (blatantly violating Section 10-125 of New York City’s criminal code, which prohibits consuming alcohol on the street). But these are classy, upper-crust ladies, the type that can get away with such indiscretions.

Complete with backhanded compliments, passive aggression, and plenty of forced laughter, their falseness-fest centers around Jacqueline’s designer Birkin bag, which is made entirely out of famous Internet cats. Unfortunately, Deidre informs her that it is — Gasp! — last year’s model. Jacqueline then wonders aloud whether Deidre is trying to help her or destroy her and the two share an uncomfortable embrace before the clip cuts out.

While it would have been nice to see something featuring the titular and unbreakable heroine, this clip features the same sort of random, off-beat, rapid-fire humor that we’ve come to associate with co-creator Tina Fey. 30 Rock fans: If you’ve yet to give this show a shot, you might want to clear some time in your binge-watching calendar.

Season 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt premieres April 15, 2016. The series also stars Ellie Kemper as Kimmy Schmidt, Tituss Burgess as Titus Andromedon, Carol Kane as Lillian Kaushtupper, and Lauren Adams as Gretchen Chalker.

Everything you need to know about Severance season 2
Mark, Dylan, Irving, and Helly in the Lumon office on Apple TV+ series Severance.

In February 2022, audiences discovered the mysterious world at Lumon Industries with the premiere of the Apple TV+ sci-fi drama Severance. At Lumon, several employees undergo "severance," a medical procedure that separates your work memories from your life on the outside ("outies"). Severed employees ("innies") cannot remember anything about themselves once they enter work. The severed employees essentially live two different lives.

Season 1 follows Mark Scout (Adam Scott) and his co-workers, who all underwent severance. When a new employee named Helly (Britt Lower) joins the company, Mark begins to question Lumon's motives, which may or may not be sinister. Severance season 1 premiered to universal acclaim from critics, resulting in 14 Emmy nominations. Season 2 is on the way. Here's everything we know so far.
Is there a release date for Severance season 2?

7 best 1990s crime movies, ranked
Russell Crowe and Kim Basinger in L.A. Confidential.

The crime genre has been alive since cinema's inception. Like most other film genres, crime is at its best when exploring new and different themes, pushing boundaries, and defying conventions and expectations. It's also great when combined with other genres, especially thriller and drama, although unexpected combinations with romance and sci-fi have also birthed unexpected classics.

Reaching new heights during the New Hollywood wave, it saw a new rebirth during the 1990s, thanks to the rise of independent cinema. Crime movies from the '90s are gritty, aggressive, sexual, explicit, and refreshingly daring, true subversive works of art that have stood the test of time. Many great crime movies came out during this pivotal decade, but these are among the absolute best, genuine modern gems that perfectly represent the genre.
