Directing duo Joel and Ethan Coen have made it pretty clear that they have no intentions of making a sequel to their 1998 hit The Big Lebowski, and reiterated their stance on the subject just a few months ago. However, the more we learn about an upcoming film helmed by Lebowski actor John Turturro, the more it seems that even though a sequel is off the table, a spinoff movie could indeed be in the works.

Titled Going Places, the movie will reportedly feature Turturro reprising his role as the purple-suited bowler Jesus Quintana for a story based on a 1974 French film.

According to Birth Movies Death, the film will feature Turturro and Bobby Cannavale (Boardwalk Empire) as a pair of petty criminals who become involved with a woman played by Audrey Tautou (Coco Before Chanel), who is on a quest to achieve her first orgasm. (Yes, you read that correctly.) Along the way, the trio becomes a quartet with the addition of an ex-convict played by Susan Sarandon (Thelma & Louise), whose character was recently released from prison.

In addition to starring in the film, Turturro is also writing and directing it. The project is a modern remake of the 1974 French sex farce Going Places (Les Valseuses), which starred Gerard Depardieu, Jeanne Moreau, and Isabelle Huppert.

Nothing is official at this point regarding the return of Turturro’s Lebowski character, but the actor has been vocal about wanting to reprise the role for years, and his long history with the Coen brothers suggests that he might be able to get them to sign off on bringing Jesus back to the big screen for the film.

Production on Going Places is reportedly underway now somewhere in New York, but the film has yet to find a distributor — something that will likely change quickly if it becomes an official spinoff of the cult-classic Big Lebowski.

Logo for WWE Backlash France.

A WWE Premium Live Event (PLE) is heading to Lyon Metropolis for the first time for WWE Backlash France 2024. Since the formation of TKO in September 2023, WWE has prioritized global expansion. In 2024, Backlash France is the second PLE to be held outside the U.S., and it won't be the last. Five of the next six WWE PLEs will take place outside the U.S.

Heading into Backlash, WWE is entering the "American Nightmare Era." After finishing his story at WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes is now the Undisputed WWE Champion. A different era means a new crop of challengers for Rhodes. First up is AJ Styles, a former two-time WWE champion. Rhodes must bring his A-game if he wants to walk out of France as champion.

Luke looking off into the binary sunset before dying in The Last Jedi.

Every Star Wars fan has a favorite movie, and many Star Wars fans also hate at least one of the entries in one of their favorite franchises. That can make the exercise of choosing the perfect Star Wars movie to watch on May the 4th difficult. For all of the love this fan base has shown to the franchise over the years, it's also a fan base that has strong opinions about why one movie or another is worthy of your time.

This May 4, though, I'd recommend watching Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Almost undoubtedly the most controversial entry in the saga, one that makes some people furious and others jump for joy, The Last Jedi is worthy of your attention, whether you like what it's doing or not. Here are three reasons you should check it out:
