The Lost Boys never grow old and never die, and now they’re headed to television for more vampire adventures.

The CW is reportedly working on an anthology-style series based on Joel Schumacher’s 1987 film about a pair of brothers terrorized by a group of forever-young vampires in a small California town. The series will be penned by iZombie and Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas, and will be set in a different decade each season while following the same group of vampires.

According to Deadline, the series is envisioned as a seven-season project, with the first season set in San Francisco in 1967 during “the summer of love.” Each season will feature new human characters, settings, and antagonists around the group of vampires that form the core cast of the series, and will chronicle their experiences as the world changes around them but they remain the same age.

The final season of the series is expected to be set in the current era — likely sometime in the 2020s.

The original 1987 film starred Jason Patric, Corey Haim, Kiefer Sutherland, Jami Gertz, Corey Feldman, Dianne Wiest, Edward Herrmann, Alexander Winter, Jamison Newlander, and Barnard Hughes. It was followed by two direct-to-video sequels that failed to generate much buzz, and will soon get a direct sequel in comic book form, due to hit shelves in October from DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint.

The Lost Boys television series will be executive produced by Thomas, and is envisioned as the successor to The CW’s popular series The Vampire Diaries, which enters its eighth and final season later this year.

An Nvidia vulnerability has been found. It’s time to update your drivers
nvidia rtx 2080 super review mem4

Just this month, Nvidia posted a security bulletin on its site alerting consumers that GPUs in its GeForce, Quadro, and Tesla product lines were all affected by serious vulnerabilities. The vulnerabilities range in severity, but get as dangerous as local code execution and privilege escalation, and can be found in all versions of numerous driver tracks that the company provides for its hardware.

Notably, this includes the R430 line that powers the GeForce GPUs. While Nvidia has since issued new patched versions of all of its GeForce and many of its Quadro drivers, patches for some of its Quadro and Tesla drivers have not been released, and in some cases won't be ready for two weeks.

Mars has its own water cycle, explaining why it lost its water over time

An artist's impression of how Mars could have looked billions of years ago, with an ocean covering part of its surface. NASA/GSFC

When you were at school, you likely learned about the Earth's water cycle: how water evaporates from the surface of oceans and lakes when they are warmed by the Sun, rising into the atmosphere and settling as clouds, then falling back to Earth as rain. But now scientists have discovered a very different sort of water cycle that could be operating on Mars.
