The Amazon Black Friday deals have been nothing short of fantastic this year. Among many other products, they’ve discounted the Moto G Power smartphone from $250 to $180 — a whole $70 price cut. Unfortunately, like all Black Friday deals, it won’t last long, so you’ll have to buy now so you don’t miss out on the discount.

The Moto G Power is one of the most quality and affordable Android smartphones on the market right now. Its impressive battery power and camera quality alone make it worth the $250 splurge — but now, at just $180, it’s definitely a steal. It’s rare for a top-notch smartphone’s price to fall anywhere below $200, so this is one deal that you won’t want to pass up.

Despite iPhones continuing to dominate the market, there are plenty of incredible Android phones — like the Moto G Power — with equally good, if not better, features. The battery life may be the Moto G Power’s most impressive feat, with one charge lasting up to three whole days of usage. The 16 MP triple camera system doesn’t hurt either, capturing everything from ultra-wide-angle panoramas and detailed close-ups in fantastic image quality. The Max Vision display is also impressive, bringing games and movies to life on a vivid 6.4-inch Full HD+ display paired with dual Dolby speakers that deliver four times clearer and more powerful audio. Not to mention its octa-core processor and 4GB of Ram, which churn out lightning-fast performance speed. It even has a water-repellent design to never let accidental spills or sweat become a problem.

But the Black Friday smartphone deals don’t stop there. Amazon and adjacent retailers have marked down lots of other smartphone makes and models. But if you’re looking specifically for a Motorola, like the Moto G Power, Best Buy is selling the Motorola Edge for just $350 — a full 50% price cut. Though a single charge only sustains its battery for two full days of usage as opposed to three, it offers superior storage space, screen size, processing power, and camera quality to the Moto G Power. Plus, its Black Friday discount is much steeper — and much harder to come by.

More smartphone deals available now

The Moto G Power aside, there are plenty more smartphones — and other popular products — discounted with this year’s Black Friday deals. Get them while they still last.

Snapchat+ includes several exclusive features, but few have generated as much curiosity as Snapchat Planets. Part of the app's Friend Solar System, it transforms your Best Friends list into a planetary ranking, assigning each of your top eight friends a planet based on how often you interact.

From Mercury, which represents your closest friend, to Neptune, which represents your eighth closest, the system offers a quick visual snapshot of your interactions. But what do the different planets actually mean, and how does Snapchat decide who gets which one?

There's no shortage of messaging apps out there. The past decade has given us more options than we know what to do with, largely because smartphones demanded something better than plain old SMS.

Both the App Store and the Play Store are packed with apps that promise to revolutionize the way we communicate. Most of them didn't make it. The truth is, a messaging app is only as good as the number of people using it, and most apps never cross that threshold.
