Electronics retailer Best Buy has announced it will become the latest brick-and-mortar retailer to offer the Amazon Kindle for sale at its retail outlets beginning this fall. The WiFi-only edition will be offered for $139.99, while the 3G edition will go for $189.99—essentially $0.99 more than prices available at Amazon.com, not including shipping and handling.

The move bolsters Best Buy’s ereader offerings going into the 2010 holiday buying season. Best Buy already offers several versions of the Sony Reader (which it has sold for some time) and Barnes & Noble’s Nook ereader. Best Buy also sells the Apple iPad.

“There’s no question that e-readers have found their rightful place in today’s digital lifestyle,” said Best Buy senior VP and general manager for home entertainment Chris Homeister, in a statement. “Our goal is to help people choose the device that’s right for them by providing the broadest selection of popular e-readers of any retailer, in one convenient place that enables people to easily see, touch, try, and buy.”

Best Buy says the Kindle DX—which sports a larger 9.7-inch EInk display—will also be available for sale “later in the season.”

Best Buy is just the latest retailer to get its hands on the Kindle: the device is also available for sale via Staples, and discount retailer Target also stocks the device.

anycubic photon review 3d printer xxl 2

The 3D printing market has seen quite a few changes over the last few years. In just the span of a decade, the barrier to entry has dropped from well over several thousand dollars to under $200 in some cases. However, all entry and mid-level printers are not made equal. We have a few suggestions for prospective buyers and other information regarding alternatives not found on this list.

To some veterans of the 3D printing scene, this list may seem like it lacks a few of the most commonly recommended printers for newcomers. This is by design. Our list only considers printers with tested components from proven, reliable vendors. That's why we chose the Monoprice MP Mini v2 as our top pick--it's reliable and easy to use. We have avoided any printer with a frame primarily made from interlocking acrylic pieces and anything historically unreliable.
