Warner Bros posted an update on the Batman: Arkham Knight Steam page over the weekend, and the message was one that PC gamers likely knew was coming. While the Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC arrives tomorrow on consoles, the PC version will be delayed until after the core game is fixed.
“For those who are waiting for the updated version of the game on PC, please know that we are working on this every day,” the Warner Bros VP of game technology Gary Lake-Schaal wrote in the update, adding later “Our continued focus on getting the right PC fixes in place for the main game has had an impact on the development of all DLC content for the PC version of the game.”
While this isn’t much of an issue for those who are unable to play the game, there are a fair number of customers who bought the PC version and are able to play it without issue. For those players, the delay may make the difference between buying and playing the DLC, or simply moving on to another game.
The delayed DLC wasn’t the only issue discussed in the post. “We can also assure you that because of this latest launch, we are modifying the internal review process for all of our games,” Lake-Schaal writes, lending some weight to an earlier report that at least some within Warner Bros knew of the issues surrounding the PC port before its launch.
There is currently no word on when the Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC will be available for PC, or when Warner Bros will resume sales of Batman: Arkham Knight on the PC.
