There’s good news and bad news for Louis C.K. fans. Viewers will be disappointed to learn that the comedian’s FX series, Louie, is officially on hiatus, but they can comfort themselves with the knowledge that more Louis C.K. shows are on the way. In addition to the previously announced Baskets, FX has announced it will introduce Better Things, a comedy created by C.K. and recurring Louie star Pamela Adlon.

Adlon co-wrote the Better Things pilot with C.K., and she’ll be the star of the series. According to Deadline, the show will be FX’s first comedy to feature a solo female lead. Better Things‘ premise has similarities to the comedian’s real life: She’ll play Sam, a mother of three who’s also trying to make a living as an actress. Her daughters will be played by Mikey Madison, Riley Watson, and Olivia Edward.

“Pamela is one of the sharpest and most endearing actresses working in television today,” said FX’s Eric Schrier. “We are thrilled she has joined forces with Louis to create a series that is raw, personal, and incredibly funny.”

C.K.’s decision to take a break from Louie comes from the writer, director, and actor’s desire to take on new projects such as Better Things, FX Networks and FX Productions CEO John Landgraf explained Friday during the TCA summer press tour. Unfortunately, at this point, it’s unclear how long the hiatus will last. “It’s really going to be his choice,” Landgraf said. “It could be six months or two years.” Previously, C.K. put Louie on hold in 2012 before bringing the series back for the next season in 2014.

In addition to Better Things, C.K. is also working on Baskets, yet another upcoming FX comedy, which will star Zach Galafianakis.

A WWE Premium Live Event (PLE) is heading to Lyon Metropolis for the first time for WWE Backlash France 2024. Since the formation of TKO in September 2023, WWE has prioritized global expansion. In 2024, Backlash France is the second PLE to be held outside the U.S., and it won't be the last. Five of the next six WWE PLEs will take place outside the U.S.

Heading into Backlash, WWE is entering the "American Nightmare Era." After finishing his story at WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes is now the Undisputed WWE Champion. A different era means a new crop of challengers for Rhodes. First up is AJ Styles, a former two-time WWE champion. Rhodes must bring his A-game if he wants to walk out of France as champion.

If you have to watch one Star Wars movie this May the 4th, stream this one
Luke looking off into the binary sunset before dying in The Last Jedi.

Every Star Wars fan has a favorite movie, and many Star Wars fans also hate at least one of the entries in one of their favorite franchises. That can make the exercise of choosing the perfect Star Wars movie to watch on May the 4th difficult. For all of the love this fan base has shown to the franchise over the years, it's also a fan base that has strong opinions about why one movie or another is worthy of your time.

This May 4, though, I'd recommend watching Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Almost undoubtedly the most controversial entry in the saga, one that makes some people furious and others jump for joy, The Last Jedi is worthy of your attention, whether you like what it's doing or not. Here are three reasons you should check it out:
