Watch: Ride Along 2 trailer is full of more mishaps for Ice Cube and Kevin Hart

Ride Along 2 - Official Trailer (HD)
Ride Along 2 Trailer
Kevin Hart and Ice Cube are back as the odd couple of cops in Ride Along 2. The new trailer for the sequel to the 2014 buddy cop comedy came out this week, and it’s clear that Ben (Hart) and James (Ice Cube) will be right back to their old antics again. The upcoming flick will send the duo to Miami to investigate a drug lord, and there will be plenty of ridiculous mishaps along the way.

The sequel picks up with Ben on the brink of marrying Angela (Tika Sumpter), so he and James are about to be brothers-in-law. It’s hard to say what James is less excited about: that or the fact that they’re also partners. Even though Ben is a cop now, he’s still not very smooth or stealth. In fact, the first thing he does in the preview is create a disaster of an undercover situation by accidentally dropping his Atlanta P.D. badge.

Somehow, their boss, Lt. Brooks (Bruce Mcgill), still thinks it’s a good idea to send them to Miami to investigate major drug dealer Antonio Pope (Benjamin Bratt). The guys have two days to get the job done — not just to meet their boss’ expectations, but also to make it back for the wedding. It’s safe to say their trip won’t go smoothly, though.

Through the preview, we see the guys (but usually Kevin) make mistakes galore, from slapping each other when they’re trying to get into a party undercover, to engaging the turn signal during a high-speed chase. Ride Along 2 looks like it will bring more of the absurd missteps and hilarious character dynamics that made the first flick so popular.

Olivia Munn, Ken Jeong, and Sherri Shepherd also star in the movie, which is directed by Tim Story.

Ride Along 2 opens in theaters on Jan. 15, 2016.

The first weekend in May has arrived, and Hulu fans should be happy to hear that there's a new lineup of movies to enjoy. Like most of the major streamers, Hulu debuts the majority of its library additions on the first of the month. But there will more movies released on Hulu throughout May.

Since the first weekend of May is traditionally timed around the opening of a superhero movie, our first choice this weekend is a comic book film that's celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Our other two picks include Tom Hanks' directorial debut, and a generation-spanning drama that holds up three decades after its release.
The Mask (1994)
