Watch the Avengers clown around in the Age of Ultron blooper reel

The Avengers might seem to be calm, cool, and collected when presented with threats that make the average person shake with fear, but in a new clip released from the Avengers: Age of Ultron gag reel, fans are presented with a decidedly different perspective on Earth’s Mightiest Heroes — or more accurately, the actors who portray them.

A brief blooper reel from Age of Ultron (see below) was released on Yahoo Movies to promote the arrival of the film on DVD and Blu-ray next month, and features a pretty great sampling of some of the lighter moments that occurred behind the scenes during production on the blockbuster sequel.

Among the scenes featured in the clip are a moment of uncertainty for Chris Evans’ Captain America while attempting to gather his teammates, as well as Bruce Banner actor Mark Ruffalo doing a spot-on impression of Peter Falk. There’s also a nice shot of a sign posted on the back of Iron Man’s Hulkbuster armor that reads “Kick Me – I Dare You.”

The follow-up to one of the most successful movies of all time, Avengers: Age of Ultron brought together returning cast members Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, and Stellan Skarsgård as Erik Selvig. The film also introduced James Spader as the evil android Ultron, Elizabeth Olsen as the Wanda “Scarlet Witch” Maximoff, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Pietro “Quicksilver” Maximoff, Paul Bettany as the Avengers’ new android teammate Vision.

Directed by Joss Whedon, the film pits the team against an android intelligence bent on eradicating humanity from the world — that’s for anyone who somehow hasn’t seen the film yet. After all, Age of Ultron has grossed more than $1.4 billion worldwide since its May 1 premiere, and currently ranks as the second highest-grossing film of the year domestically, and the third highest-grossing film of the year worldwide. It’s also the eighth highest-grossing film of all time in the U.S. and the sixth highest-grossing film of all time worldwide. So yeah, it’s kind of a big deal.

Avengers: Age of Ultron will be available on DVd and Blu-ray October 2. It will also be available via Digital HD September 8.

3 sci-fi movies on Peacock you need to watch in May
Vin Diesel and Karl Urban in Riddick.

Peacock does many things well, but its sci-fi section is sorely lacking. The science fiction films on Peacock are almost entirely comprised of knockoff blockbusters or embarrassingly bad B-movies. And instead of having a permanent library of Universal Pictures' sci-fi hits like E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial or Back to the Future, Peacock's best science fiction movies tend to come and go inside of a month.

So for this month, when we say that these are the three sci-fi movies on Peacock that you need to watch in May, it's because they probably won't be around in June! Our first two picks fall into the realm of sci-fi action, while the third stands as a tribute to the late B-movie king Roger Corman.

If you have to watch one Tubi movie this May 2024, stream this one
Two people stand in a mountain valley in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

More than almost any other streaming service, the past lives on at Tubi. Some of that is by necessity, since the bigger streamers sweep up most of the contemporary box office hits, and almost every major studio in Hollywood has its own streaming service. While there are some modern films and TV shows on Tubi, it also has a robust lineup of movies and series that pretend like cinematic and television history began in the '80s. These older titles need a home, and Tubi has given it to them.

However, our pick for the one Tubi movie that you have to watch in May isn't that old, relatively speaking. Director Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon caused a cultural sensation in 2000, not unlike the way Everything Everywhere All at Once did in 2022 on its way to earning Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress honors for Michelle Yeoh. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon also features Yeoh in a leading role during an earlier period of her career, and the film was also an Oscar-winner for Best Foreign Language Film, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, and Best Original Score. It was also nominated for Best Picture and Best Director, but came up short there.
