AMC closes out season 1 of Fear the Walking Dead with launch of Web series Flight 462

Fear the Walking Dead fans won’t have to mourn the end of the horror drama series’ first season after the finale airs on Oct. 4. AMC has announced that its upcoming companion Web series, Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462, will debut on AMC.com that same day.

The 16-part series will be posted on the network’s website each Sunday, but viewers will also have the chance to catch them on TV during promo slots when The Walking Dead returns on Oct. 11. With The Walking Dead set to consist of two eight-episode parts, there will be a new installment of Flight 462 for the duration of the series. Following the first episode, each part will be less than a minute in length.

Like Fear the Walking Dead, Flight 462 will look at the very beginning of the outbreak, focusing on a group of travelers aboard a commercial plane. (Based on the fact that one of the passengers turns out to be infected, we really wish they’d called the series Zombies on a Plane.) As we’ve come to expect from the franchise, the characters will face serious danger, but this premise sounds particularly frightening; after all, there aren’t many places to hide when you’re enclosed in a small space at 35,000 feet. At least one character will survive, though, and then go on to join the second season of Fear the Walking Dead.

“Watching how they’ll bring one of these new characters to the second season of Fear will be really exciting for viewers to follow,” said Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC and SundanceTV in a press release. He also shared that “Flight 462  is a great extension of the world of Fear and will engage fans across multiple platforms with another riveting story set at the start of the fall of civilization.”

Flight 462 is produced by Dave Erickson, Fear the Walking Dead showrunner and executive producer, as well co-executive producer David Wiener. Fear director of photography Michael McDonough will helm the series, which is written by L. Signorino and Mike Zunic.

Mark your calendar for the finale of Fear and debut of Flight 462 on Oct. 4, as well as the season six premiere of The Walking Dead.

How to watch the WWE Backlash France 2024 live stream
Logo for WWE Backlash France.

A WWE Premium Live Event (PLE) is heading to Lyon Metropolis for the first time for WWE Backlash France 2024. Since the formation of TKO in September 2023, WWE has prioritized global expansion. In 2024, Backlash France is the second PLE to be held outside the U.S., and it won't be the last. Five of the next six WWE PLEs will take place outside the U.S.

Heading into Backlash, WWE is entering the "American Nightmare Era." After finishing his story at WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes is now the Undisputed WWE Champion. A different era means a new crop of challengers for Rhodes. First up is AJ Styles, a former two-time WWE champion. Rhodes must bring his A-game if he wants to walk out of France as champion.

If you have to watch one Star Wars movie this May the 4th, stream this one
Luke looking off into the binary sunset before dying in The Last Jedi.

Every Star Wars fan has a favorite movie, and many Star Wars fans also hate at least one of the entries in one of their favorite franchises. That can make the exercise of choosing the perfect Star Wars movie to watch on May the 4th difficult. For all of the love this fan base has shown to the franchise over the years, it's also a fan base that has strong opinions about why one movie or another is worthy of your time.

This May 4, though, I'd recommend watching Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Almost undoubtedly the most controversial entry in the saga, one that makes some people furious and others jump for joy, The Last Jedi is worthy of your attention, whether you like what it's doing or not. Here are three reasons you should check it out:
