After showing Avengers: Age of Ultron fans what happens when line-reading goes wrong in a clip from the film’s blooper reel, Marvel Studios has released another series of out-takes from the blockbuster superhero movie.
This time around, the clip features various members of the cast feel the urge to dance at unexpected points during production, as well as the obligatory dialogue flubs and a few instances of impressively bad CGI. (Apparently, it’s not always easy to catch Thor’s magical hammer, Mjolnir.)
Marvel released the blooper reels from Age of Ultron and various other clips and content as part of the lead-up to the film’s release on DVD and Blu-ray later this week, and we’re likely to see a few more pieces of video before the movie hits shelves.
The follow-up to one of the most successful superhero movies of all time, Avengers: Age of Ultron brought the team of Marvel superheroes back together again to battle an evil android bent on eradicating humanity from the planet. Voiced by James Spader, Ultron is the product of a global peacekeeping program gone wrong, and in order to defeat him the Avengers must form some uneasy alliances and put their loyalty to each other to the test.
Along with Spader as the voice of Ultron, the film features franchise cast members Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. It also features the return of Don Cheadle as War Machine, Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, and Stellan Skarsgård as Erik Selvig.
Along with getting the old team back together, Age of Ultron also introduces a few new members to the team, including Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), Pietro Maximoff (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), and Vision (Paul Bettany).
Written and directed by Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age of Ultron is currently the third highest-grossing movie of the year worldwide and the eighth highest-grossing film of the year in the U.S. It arrives on DVD and Blu-ray this Friday, October 2.
