BenQ has taken the wraps off what it will be showing at CES 2016. The lineup, among other products, includes two previously announced monitors, as well as a new addition to the BenQ display family.
First up, the brand new VZ2470H, pictured above, is a 23.8-inch 1080p panel, but what really makes the monitor is the feature set. An ultra-slim bezel surrounds three sides of the display, so it’s a perfect option for a multi-monitor setup. BenQ also claims the display has a 3000:1 contrast ratio, made possible by deep black levels. The LED backlight is specially designed to reduce flickering, and a blue filter allows for an easy reduction to eye strain with the press of a button.
Next up, the XR3501 isn’t a completely new monitor for 2016, and has actually been seen a little in the wild in 2015 already, though it is hard to come by. The gaming monitor has a deep curve and a 35-inch panel, but only a 2,560 x 1,080 resolution – a bit small at that size, even for an ultra-wide. It does, however, boast a 144Hz refresh rate and 4ms response time.
Finally, the already in-the-wild XL2730Z represents a pure gaming monitor that shoots straight down the middle. The 27-inch panel has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440, and a refresh rate of 144Hz for smooth, high quality gaming without the demands 4K puts on a system. It also boasts a 1ms response time, the fastest of the new monitors being introduced for CES.
While the VZ2470H will be available in February of 2016 for $200, the other two monitors are both available for purchase from BenQ and major retailers. The XR3501 retails for $900, although it’s out of stock at BenQ at publish, and the XL2730Z is available from Amazon for just $530.
