Although most new system announcements, especially in the gaming segment, focus on the new hardware options you can include in your PC, Origin’s latest systems are focused on the practicalities and physical features of the new iterations on its Genesis, Millenium, and L-Class PCs.
If you look at its customization pages for these existing rigs, you’ll see that you can effectively create any sort of PC you want, from entry-level gaming systems equipped with AMD Ryzen 3 CPUS and RX 560 graphics cards, all the way up to monster desktops with overclocked Intel Core i7 CPUs and Nvidia Titan V graphics cards with 12GB of memory.

Millenium

Although the Millenium is one of the smaller of Origin systems, it’s still impressive inside and out. The Millenium has a newly streamlined aluminum exterior, which should be a big improvement over the plastic build of the previous version. There’s also options for various side panels and paint jobs. Because everything is magnetically mounted, you can easily hot swap one side panel for another, so if you feel like having a window sometimes and sometimes not, it’s easy to add.
Even the front door panel is customizable, giving buyers the option of having it swing open one way or the other. Although a reverse door would be eye-catching in its own right, Origin’s patented alternative mounting system for the motherboard is sure to turn even more heads. You can have your system mounted in a standard or inverted configuration, opening up the right-hand side for window-viewing if you want. Alternatively, cant the whole thing at a 90-degree angle, offering better cooling by placing your graphics cards near the roof and giving your PC’s insides a unique look.

The bigger brother of the Millenium, the new Origin Genesis is a system with all of the features of its predecessors, and a number of aesthetic and functional upgrades. Like the Millenium, it too sports a fancy new aluminum finish which can be had in a multitude of colors. Glass side panels also make it easier than ever to look at all of the pretty hardware you purchased to go in it.
Mounting options include standard ATX and inverted, as well as Origin’s patented 90-degree cant for a unique look and cooling option. Everything is put together using tool-less magnetic attachment or thumbscrews for easy upgrades and repairs.
Best of all, the Genesis has a ton of additional space in the floor, so you can fit up to 12 standard 3.5-inch drives, up to 24 2.5-inch solid state drives (SSD), a pair of 360mm water cooling radiators, or a combination of all three.

Although it might not have the same fancy paint jobs as the Millenium and Genesis, the L-Class system from Origin still has an expansive list of hardware options and benefits from the same new customization features. It has the same new aluminum finish, adjustable motherboard mounting, and replaceable magnetic side panels. It also has the same tool-less interior design and remote controlled LED lighting.
The L-Class comes in two varieties too, the Full Tower and Super Tower. If you opt for the latter, you get additional space in the base for up to 24 2.5-inch drives or twin 360mm water cooling radiators. If you decide to opt for the Full Tower but later change your mind, you can purchase the upgrade kit straight from Origin and receive free labor for the upgrade.
