Transition your music from Mac to iPhone with Seamless app

It’s happened to us too many times to count. You are jamming out to your favorite new album at home from your Mac, but you are late to meet a friend (or are off to work, or heading out for a run) and need to take your tunes on the go. You spend the next five minutes finding the exact same track on your iPhone (or iPod Touch) so that you can continue rocking out, but then you are even later by the time you put earbuds in. Well, we are in luck because there is an app to help us with this pesky distraction. The Seamless App (free for Mac, $2 for iPhone/iPod), you guessed it, seamlessly helps transition your tunes from Mac to iPhone with just one click. It’s a simple design, but the use of that one ‘transition’ button will come in handy often, particularly if you hate interrupting your favorite song. When you have to leave your computer but want to continue your listening, simply press the “Transition Music from Mac” button on your iPhone and the music will fade out on your computer and fade in on your device. The iPhone 15’s chip challenges Intel’s fastest desktop CPU — but there’s a catch

Who would have thought that some of the best CPUs would face competition not from a desktop or laptop CPU, but from a mobile system-on-a-chip (SoC)? Well, the latest Geekbench 6 scores prove that it's possible. Apple's new A17 Pro chip, announced during the September 2023 Apple event and found in the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, challenges AMD and Intel -- but there's a catch.

Yes, it's real. The Geekbench 6 test gives the A17 Pro chip a score of 2,914 in single-core operations, and that's mighty impressive for something that will end up in a smartphone. However, the generational leap is not that impressive -- the last-gen A16 Bionic chip is only around 10% behind in terms of single-threaded performance. The A17 Pro was built based on TSMC's 3nm technology, while the A16 Bionic is a 5nm chip, also made by TSMC.

Have an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch? You need to update it right now

If you own an Apple product — be in the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or a Mac — you should update it immediately. Why? Apple has begun rolling out updates to all of its devices with fixes for a serious security vulnerability.

The security vulnerability is known as CVE-2023-32434, and it has to do with the kernel privileges of Apple devices. Per Apple's website, the vulnerability allows third-party apps to "execute arbitrary code." In other words, if a bad actor knows how to exploit this vulnerability, they could potentially gain access to your Apple device and wreck havoc.
