Nintendo

The Nintendo Switch is the primary target for most shoppers who are looking at gaming deals, as the hybrid console is almost always out of stock among retailers. If you want to give the gaming device as a Christmas gift, either to a loved one or to yourself, you should always be checking Nintendo Switch deals for restocks. The good news is that it’s currently available from GameStop for its retail price of $300, so if you want to get the Nintendo Switch before Christmas, you should finalize your purchase as soon as possible.

The Nintendo Switch can function as either a portable gaming system, with the controllers called Joy-Cons attached to either side of the 6.2-inch screen, or as a home gaming console, with the Joy-Cons detached and the device placed in its dock that’s connected to your TV. When you place the console in its dock, you can seamlessly pick up from where you left off while playing in portable mode on your TV. The Joy-Cons can be used by a single player by holding one in each hand, or by two players with one Joy-Con each. Each Joy-Con comes with motion control capabilities through a built-in gyroscope and accelerometer, and they also have an HD Rumble feature that creates subtle vibrations during gameplay.

The popularity of the Nintendo Switch also comes from the games that you can play on the console, and there’s something for everyone from the growing list of Nintendo Switch exclusives. Some of the top titles that you can only play on the Nintendo Switch include The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and Ring Fit Adventure.

The Nintendo Switch is holding its own against the likes of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X, and if you want to experience why, here’s your chance. The console is currently available from GameStop for its retail price of $300, but stocks aren’t expected to last long. If you don’t want to miss this opportunity to buy the Nintendo Switch, you shouldn’t hesitate — click that Buy Now button immediately.

GTA 6 is apparently going all-in on blood, drugs and mayhem
An accidentally published PEGI rating gives us a surprisingly detailed look at Rockstar’s most adult GTA yet.
Grand Theft Auto GTA VI 6 gameplay screenshot drinks Cal Hampton

Grand Theft Auto 6 was never exactly going to be mistaken for a children's game, but a briefly published PEGI rating has apparently revealed just how far Rockstar is pushing the adult content this time around. The PEGI 18 rating appeared on the European ratings board's website before being removed, but not before its unusually detailed description was captured and reported by multiple outlets.

Apparently, GTA 6 has no plans to behave itself

These 5 Amazon gaming deals put the upgrade money into the controls
A $30 wireless mouse, a compact optical keyboard, and a customizable controller lead the picks ahead of October Prime Day.
Electronics, Joystick

A cramped keyboard-and-mouse arrangement or a controller short on buttons can be reason enough to change a setup. These five Amazon discounts cover those everyday upgrades, starting with a $30 wireless mouse. For streamers with more controls to juggle, there’s a discounted Stream Deck XL, too.

Control Resonant Review: It trusts you, challenges you, and rarely wastes your time
Remedy takes Control into the open world without losing its identity.
Control Resonant Manhattan streets

Remedy Entertainment’s announcement of a sequel to its critically acclaimed 2019 hit Control was not a big surprise. The first game, which was initially dismissed by many, including me, as a showcase for Nvidia’s ray tracing tech, turned out to be a wonderful and complex mess that attracted a niche but dedicated audience. However, the gameplay reveal of their new title felt like a risky pivot away from what garnered its fandom.

I was not about to make the same mistake twice. I kept my presumed notions about modern open-world games being grindy task simulators aside and gave it a fair shot. After finishing the story and unlocking every achievement, I can say Control Resonant is the most complete game Remedy has made. It knows exactly what it wants to be, skips the filler, and lets the player figure things out on their own. It is not flawless, but whether you are a longtime fan or new to the Federal Bureau of Control, there is plenty here for you.
