Meet Droplr, the Dropbox competitor you should have been using all along

Do you ever have to send people links to videos or files, or take and share screenshots? Sure, you could use Dropbox, but let’s be honest: It’s clunky and not ideal for quick sends. And if someone doesn’t have enough space on the other end, you’re screwed.

Droplr is a service that’s built on the premise of “sharing made simple.” And it lives up to that promise.

You can use it for free and your drops (all the files you create) will expire after 24 hours. Or you can sign up for $4.99 or more, and get drops that never go away and other features.

Once it’s installed, you’ll have an icon in your taskbar. Click it and you have everything right there. You can draw, take a screen capture of something and make notes, or just send it immediately. You can even video capture an area, then choose whether you want to send it as a video as is, or as a GIF. You can upload a file from your computer to share, or can capture a reaction to something someone sent you.

After, you’ll see a couple of your drops in the dropdown, or you can find them all in your dashboard on the website. When you’re ready to share, just click the link icon to copy it to your clipboard, so you can paste it into an email or chat window.

You can click the pen icon to edit the image or draw notes, or click the three dots to set the title, privacy or to set a “self destruct” time period. Droplr gives you a lot of options. And again, it’s simple to use.

Give it a try and let us know what you think! Or, if you have a favorite file-sharing service, leave a comment below! I’d love to hear about it.
