What’s new on Netflix and what’s leaving in June 2023
Chris Hemsworth in Extraction 2.

Summer is traditionally the time for cookouts and barbeques. But if Netflix was bringing the food, then we'd have enough to feast all summer. The new lineup of Netflix original movies and series in June is absolutely stacked. The first month of summer is starting off with the conclusion of the fan-favorite series, Manifest and a documentary about Arnold Schwarzenegger. In the middle of the month, Chris Hemsworth's Extraction 2 is injecting some adrenaline into the lineup while Our Planet II will give us greater insight into the natural beauty of the world. Finally, The Witcher season 3, part 1 will close out the month in mystical style.

The projects we mentioned above are just the tip of the iceberg for everything new on Netflix in June. There are also a handful of shows and movies that are leaving at the end of the month. We've put together a comprehensive list of everything coming and going in June, which you can find below. Our picks are in bold, if you're looking for recommendations.

And unlike its higher-priced competition from Netflix and Max (formerly HBO Max), Apple TV+ is only $6 per month.

Like any streamer though, it can be tough to keep up with Apple’s latest and greatest flicks and series, which is why we’ve put together this roundup of what’s new on Apple TV+ this month.

Amazon Freevee’s Jury Duty gets a cast commentary in June

In the streaming era, original shows and movies don't tend to get DVD and Blu-ray-style extras. But there are some exceptions to the rule. Amazon has announced that the Freevee original comedy series, Jury Duty, will get a new cast commentary in June that will be included in all eight episodes.

Director Jake Szymanski will be joined by cast members James Marsden, Ronald Gladden, Mekki Leeper, Cassandra Blair, and Maria Russell as they share their thoughts on the series and what went on behind the scenes. But for our readers, we really want to hear from Gladden since he was the unexpected "lead" in a show that turned out to be about him.
