The maker of some of our favorite cheap headphones is back with three new models

Earlier this year, we took a look the 1More Triple Driver in-ear headphones and found ourselves impressed with how much sound the company managed to pack into a $100 package. Earlier this month, the company let loose with another volley of affordable headphones aimed at a variety of different listeners.

The first of the three new models is the MK802 Bluetooth over-ear headphones. Standard features, including Bluetooth 4.1 with aptX and ear cup controls, are here, but there are a few interesting touches as well. The headphones feature beryllium drivers and a “Bass Level” switch on the ear cup that allows the listener to choose between enhanced bass or limited bass.

The MK802s also feature support for calls on iOS and Android devices and claim up to 15 hours of battery life. The headphones are available in fire engine red and electric blue.

The iBFree Bluetooth in-ears are aimed at the more active listener. They have an IPX4 rating in terms of water resistance, and are built using titanium drivers and an aluminum alloy to keep the weight down. The onboard controls are compatible with both iOS and Android, meaning your phone can stay put in your pocket or backpack while on a run. And 1More claims a standby time of 240 hours and up to 8 hours of playback time. The iBFree headphones are available in vibrant red, space gray, aqua blue, and apple green.

If 1More’s Piston Classic seem a little familiar, it’s because the company was behind the popular Xiaomi Piston 3.0 in-ears. This model uses a dual-layer titanium diaphragm for quick response time and crisp highs, paired with PET polymer for the mids and bass. These wired in-ears come in space gray and rose gold varieties.

“They’re a giant leap from the ear buds that come with your smartphone for a surprisingly low price,” CEO Dave Russell said of the Pistons in a statement. “We’ve sold over 10 million Pistons worldwide and now they’re updated and look and sound even better. It’s about bringing quality sound to everyone.”

The MK802 over-ears sell for $130, while the iBFree and Piston Classic can be had for $50 and $20, respectively. All models are available now and can be bought via the 1More website and other retailers.

Beats Solo 4: the latest on-ear headphones get spatial and lossless audio
Beats Solo 4 in Cloud Pink.

After a nearly eight-year gap, Beats finally has an updated version of its Solo wireless on-ear headphones: the Beats Solo 4. The fourth-gen cans look nearly identical to their predecessors and they sport the same $200 price tag. Under that familiar exterior, however, lies a series of upgrades, including support for spatial and lossless audio, that Beats hopes will keep the Solo 4 as its most popular product. The Solo 4 can be ordered starting April 30 in Matte Black, Slate Blue, and Cloud Pink, with shipping beginning May 2. Beats also debuted its latest wireless earbuds, the Solo Buds.

Physically, very little has changed since the Solo3 Wireless debuted in 2016. The Solo 4 preserves the now-classic Beats lines, with the same folding hinges and a low-profile headband that transitions seamlessly into the earcups. Some of the chrome-finish accents have been retired, but the distinctive lowercase "b" Beats logo is still front and center.
