Skooba Design has recently revealed its newest, and possibly most innovative, travel bag, equipped to carry your weekend necessities and all your gadgets. The Weekend Warrior bag is a combination laptop-travel duffel designed to eliminate the need for a separate laptop bag in your carry-on load, or on short weekend trips.

More than two dozen pockets make this a great travel bag for techies who want to keep all their gadgets in one place. Like a traditional duffel, the Weekend Warrior has a large main pocket to hold your clothes, but also includes two large side pockets for shoes and toiletries, a dedicated laptop sleeve, and countless small pockets in a front compartment for your phone, iPod, camera, chargers, etc. “Many leisure travelers take their laptops and gadgets with them, but would prefer not to carry a separate laptop bag or traditional business case,” said Skooba’s Bryan Hammer. “The Weekend Warrior packs it all in one easy-traveling carry-on.”

The bag is available with either a small (15-16”) or large (17”) laptop sleeve, which has its own flap cover, a security strap, and can be removed from the bag to use by itself (as seen above). The front compartment, with stretchy pockets to hold all your small accessories, even has a labeled USB thumb drive pocket.

The Weekend Warrior is part of Skooba’s new Techlife line of sporty bags created with laptops, iPads, and other tech gadgets in mind. The bags in the collection are all lightweight and made of water-resistant nylon twill. Check out the full line here.

The full list of new device types supported by Matter 1.3 include microwave ovens, ovens, cooktops, extractor hoods (such as vent hoods), and laundry dryers. These aren't quite as exciting or mainstream as the nine device types introduced with Matter 1.2, but it's great to see the CSA continuing to broaden the reach of the Matter network.
