After a year of settling for second-hand reports on Avengers: Age Of Ultron, fans will be able to see the first footage from the highly anticipated Avengers sequel for themselves after next week’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Marvel teased the upcoming debut of the first Age Of Ultron trailer after this week’s episode of the popular television series set in the studio’s cinematic universe. The episode will air Tuesday, October 28, at 9pm ET on ABC.
Now in its second season, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. series has created quite a bit of connective tissue between the big-screen installments of Marvel’s cinematic universe by featuring various characters from the films in recurring roles and cameos, as well as introducing the live-action versions of characters from Marvel’s comics canon. The series recently introduced popular character Bobbi Morse (a.k.a. Mockingbird), a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent played by Adrianne Palicki.
Directed by Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age Of Ultron will hit theaters May 1, 2015, and finds the superhero team battling a deadly new, robotic enemy. Robert Downey Jr. reprises his role as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner and Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and a host of other returning characters and new additions to Marvel’s cinematic universe.
