If you can’t wait for Black Friday, Amazon has started its deals early

There’s still another 25 days till the chaotic consumer frenzy that is Black Friday, but that’s not stopping Amazon from getting in early in the hope of scoring a few extra sales.

The company on Sunday launched a Black Friday deals store, promising daily bargains on a wide selection of its massive inventory of goods, including discounts on electronics, video games, and DVDs.

The company said it’d “kicked off the savings a little early,” adding, “We’re counting down to the big day with even more deals, all day, every day.”

Using the sale as a way of cajoling shoppers into signing up to its $99-a-year Prime program, the Seattle-based company promised members early access to more than 30,000 lightning deals, a factor that could be key to bagging a bargain if a truly tempting offer lands on the site in the coming weeks.

The company used a similar ploy to boost membership earlier this year with its first-ever Prime Day sale. Following the event, Amazon said the 24-hour offer saw “hundreds of thousands” of people sign up to take advantage of Prime Day, though it’s thought a number of those canceled their membership soon after the sale ended.

With its Black Friday store now up and running, Amazon’s hoping to tempt customers into making a few extra online orders in the coming weeks. However, competition is likely to be tough, with an increasing number of retailers choosing to launch special deals well ahead of Black Friday.

Here’s an idea of the kind of offers Amazon is currently highlighting on its special store:

– 30 percent off Sony XBR-55X900C 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD TV with a Blu-ray Player
– $170 off the Sony Alpha a6000 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 16-50mm Power Zoom Lens
– 47 percent off Jaybird X Sport Bluetooth Headphones
– Optima HD37 Full 3D 1080p 2600 Lumens DLP Home Cinema Projector for less than $800
– Up to 50 percent off select Home Automation products
– $10 off select $50 Black & Decker product purchases
