‘Turok 2’ to make titanic comeback in remastered Night Dive release

Continuing the trend of tickling our nostalgia nerves with remasters, Night Dive Studios, the developer/publisher behind the System Shock and System Shock 2 enhanced editions, has announced that it’s also going to bring back Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. Night Dive has already released a revamped version of the original Turok, but now it’s doubling down on its dinosaurs with its sequel, too.

Initially released back in 1998 on the Nintendo 64, Turok 2 built upon the original dinosaur-hunting title by adding new weapons, bigger levels, and new enemies to take down, but its biggest addition was multiplayer. That’s part of the reason the remastering of the classic has everyone so excited.

However, as with a lot of these older games, the messy rights can often mean keeping things under wraps until something concrete can be said. In this case, Night Dive has said it can finally tell us that Turok 2 is in the works.

Other than that, though, it’s remaining rather quiet. The process of getting the old code working on modern operating systems isn’t an easy one though, which is why Night Dive isn’t saying any more just yet.

“In our quest to bring you the most authentic experience at the highest quality level available we’ve decided to give Turok 2 the love it deserves and release the game ‘when it’s done,’ which is why all we’ve been able to say is this: “Turok 2 is coming!”” Night Dive said in a statement on the official Steam page (via EG).

All of this means we don’t exactly know when Turok 2 will make its reappearance on the PC. If you need to kill some dinosaurs today though, the original that Night Dive released not too long ago is available.

To tide you over though, here’s a video of Turok 2‘s Cerebral Bore in action, making the No. 3 spot in IGN’s top guns in gaming history. We couldn’t agree more.

Is Manor Lords multiplayer or co-op?

You can easily lose hours designing your village and appeasing your citizens in Manor Lords all by yourself. There are so many different avenues to achieve victory, but the only competition or help you can normally find is in the form of NPCs. Other factions around the map can be helpful or harmful depending on how you play, but what if you wanted to team up with a friend to combine resources, or perhaps compete to see who can crush the other first? Many strategy and city builders thrive on multiplayer components, but does Manor Lords offer those same modes? Make sure you know the answer before making your purchase if that's your intention.
Is there multiplayer or co-op in Manor Lords?
To cut to the chase, the answer is no. Manor Lords is a purely single-player experience through and through. There are no cooperative or competitive modes in the game at all, so there's no way to interact with anyone else either on PC or console. This game was just released out of early access, and there is plenty of content on the way, however, we regret to inform you that multiplayer is not in the plans for the time being.

One developer took to the Steam forums to release an FAQ on the game. One question specifically asked if there is any multiplayer or cooperative gameplay in the game. The response said that "he focus is on a refined single-player experience, with no multiplayer or cooperative modes planned at the moment."

How to enter console commands
Opening up the command console to type in your cheats is just a single keystroke away. While in the game (not paused), hit the ~ key located below your escape key. This will remove your HUD and bring up the prompt to type in any of the below cheats.
