‘Top Gear America’ trailer is fully loaded for the upcoming series premiere

We have gotten a lot from Great Britain over the centuries, from our founding fathers to Adele. Now, however, car enthusiasts are receiving the best gift yet from across the Atlantic: Top Gear America.

BBC America released a first look trailer Wednesday, making it clear that the latest American version of the hit British motoring series will continue the franchise’s grand tradition of showcasing incredible vehicles. The preview features cars likely to cause drooling, such as the Lambroghini Huracán Spyder, the Acura NSX, and the BAC Mono, among others. Needless to say, season 1 is shaping up to be a car lover’s dream, full of horsepower, speed, and adventure, not to mention the occasional drive-thru stop.

The series follows an earlier U.S. version of Top Gear, which ran from 2010 to 2016 on the History Channel and was hosted by Tanner Froust, Adam Ferrara, and Rutledge Wood. There have since been changes, though, including to the team of presenters. The trailer introduces the new Top Gear America hosts: Actor William Fichtner, who starred in Independence Day: ResurgenceThe Dark Knight, and more; drag racer Antron Brown; and Tom Ford, a British car journalist. They will also be joined by the Stig, meaning fans won’t have to miss the familiar white-suited character.

From what we can see in the trailer, the hosts will bring a lot of energy and excitement to the series. They look as thrilled to be around these cars as we would be, so it should be fun to cruise around vicariously through them. The team won’t be the only ones behind the wheel, though; celebrity guests will pop up from time to time, too.

Over the course of the series, the hosts will review a range of vehicles, from the state-of-the-art to the classic and culture-defining. Fittingly, the show will highlight some of America’s iconic cars from over the decades, but there will be plenty from around the globe as well. It looks like a promising addition to the franchise, and we look forward to its fast-approaching debut.

Top Gear America premieres Sunday, July 30, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on BBC America.

Everything you need to know about Andor season 2
Cassian aims his gun in Andor.

Andor is arguably Lucasfilm's crowning achievement of the 21st century. Created by Tony Gilroy, Andor stars Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, the petty thief who will eventually become a key leader and spy for the Rebel Alliance. Andor is a prequel set five years before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the film where Luna first introduced audiences to Cassian. It's been a long time since Andor season 1 ended in November 2022. Slowly but surely, season 2 is on the way. Below is everything you need to know about Andor season 2.
Is there a release date for Andor season 2?
There is no release date for Andor season 2 yet. Andor season 2 was originally scheduled to be released in August 2024, two years after season 1 premiered. However, the series experienced several production delays while filming because of the 2023 Hollywood labor disputes. Therefore, Andor season 2 had to move its late summer 2024 release date.
