This $600 deal shows us just how much fun a projector can be

Samsung’s The Freestyle 2 is a point-and-shoot projector that’s low on fuss and great for teens. Unfortunately, it is normally $800. However, with this deal you can get it for 25% off, saving you $200 and getting it for just $600. This is probably one of the best projector deals we’ll see before Thanksgiving, at least for this price bracket. And what’s really nice is that you can get the deal at either Samsung’s site directly or from Best Buy. That means if you have some credit with either store, you can finally use it up when you buy this projector. In any event, tap the appropriate button below to see the deal or keep reading to learn more about this gaming projector.

Why you should buy Samsung’s The Freestyle 2

This is a portable projector for gaming that’s essentially a Samsung TV in projector format. Unlike a lot of high end projectors, there isn’t a lot to do when setting up your Freestyle. You just point it and shoot at a wall or ceiling and you’re good to go with a corrected rectangular screen at 1080p. The rear of the Freestyle isn’t merely cooling vents, either, it’s a decent audio speaker that saves extra room. A simple USB-C power cord keeps everything powered and ready, but you can also buy an optional portable battery for remote use.

While you can certainly use the Freestyle 2 as a TV, the most likely use case is for a bunch of teens or college students. And that, in addition to movies, means games. If you pay for Samsung’s Gaming Hub you can play games directly over your projector, with no console hookups required, making this a great console alternative or a great way to game on vacation, your choice. It’s a very Xbox-like experience.

If you’re ready to buy, just tap the appropriate button below to choose your retailer. Should the deal still be going on, you’ll find the projector being sold for $600. That’s $200 down from the usual $800, a savings of 25%. Be sure to check both sites if one doesn’t have the deal anymore, because while we predict the deal will go on for a similar length at both sites, one might update later than the other. Samsung leans harder into gaming value, while LG is the safer home-theater crowd-pleaser.

OLED TV deals live or die by the model number, screen size, seller, and actual discount. These two 65-inch Prime Day picks are where I’d start because they come from Samsung and LG, land around the same $1,200 mark, and make the buying choice pretty simple.
