The PlayStation Portal is a great way to play your PlayStation 5 games while in another room or even beyond your home. But accessories can really help to elevate your experience by offering added protection, convenience, and more. As such, we’ve compiled a short list of accessories we think you should consider for your PlayStation Portal.

PlayStation PULSE Explore Wireless Earbuds

Unfortunately, Sony has limited what headphones and earbuds can be used with the PlayStation Portal. While you can use any wired earbuds or headphones that you want, opting to go wireless means you’ll have to choose from one of the very few devices that support Sony’s new Link technology. This makes the PlayStation PULSE Explore the most versatile earbuds you can snag for the PlayStation Portal. They’re pricey, but they offer excellent sound quality and easy multi-device connectivity. They average around 5 hours of playtime on a single charge, and the included charging case is a rather snazzy addition.

Skull & Co. Hard Carrying Case

Skull & Co.

There are a lot of solid carrying cases available for the PlayStation Portal, but we really like Skull & Co.’s hard-shell case. The device sits just right inside the soft material with very little wiggle room, ensuring that it remains secure even if the case gets bumped around. Meanwhile, you can store some cables or other small accessories inside the included mesh pocket. The case is even waterproof — though we wouldn’t recommend testing that unnecessarily, of course!

ivoler Screen Protector

The screen is arguably the most delicate and important part of the PlayStation Portal, so you’ll want to be sure it’s very well protected — especially if you have young ones or use outside the home where damage can occur more easily. That’s where a screen protector comes in handy! We like the ivoler Screen Protector, which offers solid fingerprint, dust, and water resistance while letting you continue to see the on-screen action without any visual disturbances. It even comes as a 2-pack, so you’ll have a backup if and when you need it.

LVVIL Charging Stand

You can charge the PlayStation Portal using any USB-C cable, but if you want a way to store or display the device in the process, you’ll want a charging dock. We’re fans of the LVVIL Charging Stand, which uses a magnetic connector that makes placing the device on the stand incredibly simple. It’s a compact stand, too, meaning it’s not too much of a hassle to move it around if you ever need to, and its LED lights are customizable to give it a bit of flair wherever you have it seated.

Modern Warfare 4 brings Call of Duty back to its glory days. I hope the streak lives.
Infinity Ward’s latest campaign goes back to Call of Duty’s roots and recaptures what made me a fan more than a decade ago.

The Call of Duty franchise has held a special place in my heart ever since I played my first Black Ops game back in 2010. That game's campaign was something else, with twists and turns that culminated in a mind-blowing finale. We can all admit that compared to those older campaigns, the recent CODs have been lackluster at best, and a complete and utter disappointment at worst. The reboot of Modern Warfare did give me some hope, as the first two installments were actually quite good, but the third game left such a bad taste in my mouth that I wasn’t exactly expecting much from Modern Warfare 4.

After recently finishing the campaign, I can say that this installment is nothing like the recent releases and instead feels closer to the franchise’s roots. For the first time in a long while, the campaign comes across as well-crafted rather than rushed to hit a release date. It arrives three years after MW3, and you can see exactly where all that time went. It seems the studio finally made listening to player feedback a priority.

Epic MegaJam 2026

Epic Games has just announced the 2026 Epic AI MegaJam, which is looking to see how much game development can be squeezed into a very short window. This is running from November 12 through November 15.

Participants can work alone or in teams of up to five people, build in Unreal Engine or Unreal Editor for Fortnite, and bring along “as many AI agents as you want.” Epic explicitly encourages coding agents, AI-generated assets, audio tools, writing tools, and other AI systems. The official event page literally says "Vibe your way to $50k.”

The free-to-play spin-off launches October 29 with open-world exploration, mobile-focused combat, and a building system.

It’s turning into a pretty good time to be a Monster Hunter fan who plays on a phone. Capcom has confirmed that Monster Hunter Outlanders will launch on Android and iOS on October 29, giving the series a new mobile-first game just as Monster Hunter Rise is also preparing to make the jump to smartphones through Netflix.

Outlanders is being developed by Tencent subsidiary TiMi Studio Group under license and supervision from Capcom. Unlike Rise, which appears to be the full console and PC game adapted for mobile, Outlanders is a free-to-play survival hunting game made specifically for phones.
