Printing is a necessity at times, but it’s not always convenient. For those on-the-go workers who need to draft out presentations or contracts at a moment’s notice, Epson just came out with the “world’s smallest and lightest mobile printer.” The WorkForce WF-100 ($350) is a portable color inkjet printer that uses a rechargeable battery and connects via Wi-Fi.

The whole unit is small enough to fit inside a desk drawer. When not in use, the WF-100 measures 12.2 inches wide, 9.1 inches deep, and 2.4 inches tall. It weighs 3.5 pounds, so you could carry it in a bag or toss it in the car. Yet it can print standard-sized documents up to 8.5 x 11.

The WF-100 uses pigment-based ink that Epson says will produce prints that resist fading for up to 118 years. If you’re printing just black and white, the ink cartridge will yield 250 pages; 200 pages for color.

With Wi-Fi and support for Wi-Fi Direct, you can pretty much print from any device, including smartphones and tablets. It also supports Google Cloud Print and Apple AirPrint natively, and there’s a 1.4-inch color LCD for easier operation.

While the printer is targeted toward working professionals (real estate agents, contractors, etc.) the WF-100 can also be used to print 4×6 photos, and Epson has a bunch of apps you can use for both productivity and creative purposes. It’s not the fastest printer (6.7 in black and white, 3.8 in color), but what you lose in speed you gain in portability.

How to transfer photos from an iPhone to an iPhone

We all love making memories, and a great way to collect those memories is to take a quick snap of a gorgeous landscape, a party in full swing, or a particularly incredible meal. The Apple iPhone now also adds a location to your pictures, meaning it can collate those images together into a location-themed album, or show you all the shots you've taken in a specific location. It's a fun little addition, and it's one that adds a lot of personality to the Photos app.
