It’s time for a new hypercar from Lamborghini, and French media have uncovered the model’s name and specs.

The Centenario LP 770-4 will celebrate 100 years since the birth of Feruccio Lamborghini on April 28, 1916. Under the hood will be a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 with approximately 770 horsepower sent to all four wheels.

The same sources claim the Centenario will hit 60 mph in 2.7 seconds, a sprint that’s slightly quicker than the Aventador LP 700-4. Top speed should be somewhere around the 225 mph mark. By comparison, the Lamborghini Veneno develops 740 horsepower and tops out at 221 mph.

Lamborghini’s Centenario LP 770-4 will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March of next year before the Italian automaker will offer 20 units for sale. Performance, rarity, and styling will push the new hypercar’s sticker price over $1.5 million. Previous rumors suggested 10 roadster variants were also planned, but recent reports say that won’t happen.

If you’re expecting something as insane as the Veneno, you’ll be disappointed, as the Centenario will reportedly dial back styling and will focus on functional aerodynamics.

It seems like ages ago when the Lamborghini Reventon debuted with what, at the time, seemed like ludicrous styling, but the Italian automaker has only continued to push the boundaries for aggressive design in models like the Sesto Elemento, Veneno, and Egoista.

The front three-quarter view of a 2022 Rivian against a rocky backdrop.

Rivian has finally unveiled the R2, its long-awaited attempt at a more affordable electric SUV. The new vehicle may not be available just yet, but fans of Rivian's design aesthetics and feature set are already looking forward to being able to order the new car. The R2 is targeted at being a more affordable take on the electric SUV and will sit alongside the flagship-tier R1S.

Let's get this out of the way right now: The R1S is most likely going to be a better vehicle than the R2. Rivian isn't replacing the R1S with the R2 — it's releasing the R2 as a more affordable alternative, and there will be some compromises when buying the R2 over the R1S.

Don’t let the gimmicks fool you. The Ioniq 5 N is a serious track car
2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N drifting.

We’re finally getting to the fun part of automakers’ methodical quest to replicate their lineups with electric cars.

Performance versions of ordinary cars have been a staple of the auto industry for decades. But while we’ve already seen some variants of EVs boasting more power and more impressive stats — think Tesla Model S Plaid or Lucid Air Sapphire — the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is the first to truly apply that format to an EV.
