Adam West, the OG Batman himself, will be one of many guest stars to appear on the upcoming 200th episode of popular primetime sitcom The Big Bang Theory, CBS confirms.

The 87-year-old actor, best known for portraying the superhero Batman and his alter ego Bruce Wayne in the campy 1960s television series (as well as the original 1966 film) has been the subject of discussion on many an episode of The Big Bang Theory. Sheldon (played by Jim Parsons) has often mimicked the voice. In another episode, Howard (Simon Helberg), even dresses up as the character. West has also been mentioned when the pretty neighbor Penny (Kaley Cuoco) reveals that she has no idea who he is, much to the disappointment of her geeky friends.

Also set to appear on episode 200, which will air on Thursday, February 25 at 8 p.m. ET, is Wil Wheaton, a nerd icon of sorts who has a recurring character on the show as himself. Wheaton is best known for his portrayal of Wesley Crusher on the TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation, as well as for his lead role in iconic 1986 film Stand By Me.

Additionally, the episode will see the return of Sheldon’s arch-rival Barry Kripke (Ross Bowie), Christine Baranski, who plays Leonard’s (Johnny Galecki) stiff and strict mother, and Sara Gilbert as Leslie Winkle, Leonard’s one-time love interest.

As for Mr. West, the actor has only had minor television appearances over the last few years, though he has had something of a resurgence in recent years with voiceover work, thanks to his distinctive voice. He’s played himself on episodes of animated series like The Simpsons, Futurama, and Rugrats. And he continues to serve as the voice of Mayor Adam West on Family Guy. He has also appeared in several Funnyordie.com videos.

If you’re a fan of the video game Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, that’s also West himself voicing the Batman character. And in 2013, a documentary called Starring Adam West aired about the actor.

It’ll be interesting to see how he ends up crossing paths with the crew. Other celebrities have appeared on The Big Bang Theory as guest stars in the past including, most recently, Leonard Nimoy’s son Adam.

MCU’s Fantastic Four: release date, trailer, cast, plot
The cast of "The Fantastic Four."

It's not a coincidence that one of the first Marvel movies announced after Disney purchased 20th Century Fox's entertainment assets in 2019 was a new reboot of The Fantastic Four. In 1961, Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby launched the Marvel Universe as we know it with Fantastic Four #1, and it was the comic that set the tone for everything that came after.

Because the rights to the Fantastic Four were tied up at Fox for the better part of two decades, FF supporting players like Silver Surfer were withheld from the MCU. Now that the characters are firmly under Marvel Studios' control, the sky's the limit for the upcoming reboot. And we're here to share everything we know about The Fantastic Four so far.
Who has been cast in The Fantastic Four?

The 50 best shows on Netflix in May 2024
Jeff Bridges in A Man in Full.

Netflix keeps such a regular schedule of updates that there's not much difference in terms of new content between the beginning of the month and any other week. To kick things off in May, Netflix has debuted David E. Kelley's adaptation of Tom Wolfe's novel A Man in Full, while also adding the supernatural thriller Evil.

Neither of these series have broken into the list of the most popular shows on Netflix yet. But that could change by the end of the weekend, especially since A Man in Full is the first Netflix original of the month. Thankfully, it won't be the last, as more new shows are on the way in May. And you can keep up with all of them by checking back every Friday as we update our list of the best shows on Netflix right now.
