Bieber's got nothing on Andy Samberg in Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping

Comedy trio The Lonely Island — including Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone — have released a star-studded and NSFW trailer for their previously-announced and hilariously titled debut film, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.

A musical comedy in the mockumentary style, the new film centers on Connor4Real (Samberg), a super-Bieber pop star with a massive entourage. After his latest album bombs, Connor4Real is forced to reunite with his former boy band, and hilarity ensues.

Over the course of the two minute clip, viewers get a hilariously satirical look into the life of an over-the-top pop star, with huge paid entourages, gyrating holograms of Adam Levine, and a guitar tech who likes to stop his own heart for fun.

And boy did the well-connected comedians assemble an excellent cast for this one. Case in point: That guitar tech is played by Bill Hader, and the woman who revives him is played by Joanna Newsom. Other famous faces who appear in the two-minute cut include Snoop Dogg, Simon Cowell, Usher, Carrie Underwood, DJ Khaled, Will Forte, and Sarah Silverman, to name a few.

Produced by comedy guru Judd Apatow (Love, This is 40), the new film looks to be just what fans want from The Lonely Island: A childish laugh-fest much in the style of Samberg’s other cult hit Hot Rod. And it should be especially funny for those who keep an eye on the pop music world, where self-serving documentaries like Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never and Katy Perry’s Part Of Me are the norm.

The Lonely Island have been busy as ever this past year, with a sketch comedy show set to appear on Fox this week. If that show proves to be as successful as some think it will be, the world may well have another comedy dynasty on its hands.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping hits theaters nationwide on June 3rd 2016.

3 Hulu movies you need to stream this weekend (May 3-5)
The cast of That Thing You Do!

The first weekend in May has arrived, and Hulu fans should be happy to hear that there's a new lineup of movies to enjoy. Like most of the major streamers, Hulu debuts the majority of its library additions on the first of the month. But there will more movies released on Hulu throughout May.

Since the first weekend of May is traditionally timed around the opening of a superhero movie, our first choice this weekend is a comic book film that's celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Our other two picks include Tom Hanks' directorial debut, and a generation-spanning drama that holds up three decades after its release.
The Mask (1994)
