Attention all photographers: onOne Software is currently offering a free download of the latest edition of its $100 Perfect Effects 8 image-enhancement software.

Part of onOne’s Perfect Photo Suite 8, this premium-edition software comprises a sizable library of one-click presets, adjustable filters and other tools to help get your photos looking just the way you want them.

The versatile image editing tool lets you paint in effects to particular parts of an image, as well as combine, stack and blend its various filters for the best results. You can also create and save your own presets. Other features include live previews allowing you to see the effects of filters on your image one at a time, and a new built-in browser for easy viewing of your photos.

The latest edition of the software brings twice as many filters as before, “so you can create any effect you want – from the popular HDR look to a vintage, Instagram-inspired look,” the Portland, Oregon company says on its website.

Available for PC and Mac, Perfect Effects 8 works as a plug-in with Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom, and Aperture, or as a standalone app.

There’s no word on how long the offer’s set to last, so if you’re at all interested you’re strongly advised to download first and ask questions later. Click here to see if the offer is still running.

Note from onOne: This is a fully licensed version. It’s yours to keep forever. Requires 8GB of RAM and a 64- bit operating system, Windows 7 or higher, or Mac OS X 10.7 or higher. See system requirements. If you have the Perfect Photo Suite 8 trial or beta version installed, uninstall it first.
