You can sit in a Porsche (gaming) chair every day for $2,500

Have you ever daydreamed of lounging in a Porsche seat, but don’t want to spend the money? Porsche has made that a little easier with its new gaming chair, created in collaboration with Recaro. It’s still not exactly cheap though: The limited edition chair retails for $2,500.

While Porsche is the big brand name here, Recaro is the brains behind the operation. The chair is a variant of the manufacturer’s Recaro Exo Platinum, adjusting some colors and adding a big, bold Porsche crest to the front headrest.

Standing at nearly 5 feet tall at max height and weighing in at nearly 59 pounds, the chair features an adjustable backrest that sits about 37 inches above its seat. Two shifting wheels on either side of the chair allow for further tweaking. It has a max load capacity of around 330 pounds.

The color scheme, created by Studio F.A. Porsche, is modeled after Porsche’s motorsport vehicles. It certainly looks the part of a gaming chair, featuring a familiar black and red design. The one color twist is that it features a gray headrest, making it look a bit more like a luxury car seat.

The fanciest feature here is its “5D armrests,” a common feature in Recaro’s top-of-the-line gaming chairs. According to Recaro’s website, each can be rotated 360 degrees from the front pivot point. In terms of comfort, the chair features an “ergonomically optimized seat shell made of high-quality upholstery foam and breathable fabrics” and an anti-submarining seat ramp.

Is all of that worth $2,500? That’s for you to decide (I won’t judge you), but if you want one, you’ll have to move fast. It’s a limited edition product only being sold through Porsche’s website. If nothing else, it seems like an optimal (and indulgent) chair for Forza Horizon 5 sessions, right?

You can’t play Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox, but you can play these 6 Game Pass RPGs

Baldur's Gate 3 just launched on PC on August 3 and comes to PlayStation 5 shortly on September 6. Unfortunately, an Xbox Series X/S version of the RPG does not have any concrete release date. Developer Larian Studios explained in a community post that this is because it doesn't "want to compromise on quality and feel it would be a shame to downscale to 30 [frames per second, aka fps] or make other compromises to hit an arbitrary date." Still, it's disappointing that Xbox players can't get in on the fun anytime soon. Thankfully, there isn't a shortage of alternatives on Microsoft's gaming platforms.
Xbox Game Pass is home to dozens of RPGs, many of which share the same computer-RPG roots as Baldur's Gate 3. While Xbox players might not be able to enjoy Larian Studios' shockingly thorough and immensely enjoyable Dungeons & Dragons CRPG just yet, they can't go wrong playing these six titles right now.
Fallout: New Vegas

Where Baldur's Gate 3 may be the pinnacle of fantasy RPG games inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, Fallout: New Vegas is that for postapocalyptic RPGs. This game from Obsidian Entertainment and Bethesda Softworks -- both of which are now owned by Microsoft -- first released in 2010. Despite some in-game glitches that still persist, the Xbox 360 version of Fallout: New Vegas on Xbox Game Pass is just as enthralling of a role-playing experience as it was nearly 13 years ago. The Xbox 360 version can even be played at 60 fps on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, thanks to the FPS Boost feature.
Like Baldur's Gate 3, it's a faithful follow-up to some classic CRPGs that give players a massive amount of choice as they complete their adventure however they see fit. You can have endless fun exploring the world and creating experiences that feel personal to you while dealing with its eclectic cast of factions and characters. While it's a bit rough around the edges in certain aspects, New Vegas is still one of the best RPGs ever made. As such, it's worth replaying or trying first the first time if you want to play an RPG, but can't experience Baldur's Gate 3 right now.

5 underrated Xbox Game Pass games you should play while you still can

Whenever new titles get added to Xbox Game Pass, only a handful of games make a splash. Day one releases like Starfield are always guaranteed to get subscribers logging in, but smaller titles tend to fly under the radar. That's especially the case when it comes to indies that aren't considered "game of the year" material, but probably should be. If you aren't currently signed up for Xbox Game Pass, you can currently get your first month for $1. The deal only applies to Game Pass Ultimate and its PC version, though, as the console-only version is still at its full price.

Early in the Xbox Game Pass era, Microsoft would offer $1 onboarding deals for the service. The trick helped the company build a massive user base early on, but it has moved away from that cheap deal in recent years as the service has become a household name with gamers. It's finally available again for anyone who's been waiting for a reason to subscribe, though it's not as eye-popping a deal as it once was.
