THQ Delivers The Outfit for Xbox 360

THQ and gaming studio Relic Entertainment today said they’d shipped The Outfit, a World War II focused third person, squad-based combat game. It is priced at $59.99 and available for Microsoft’s Xbox 360.

In The Outfit, THQ said, gamers can choose from three playable squad leaders, each with their own unique skills and abilities, to lead a squad of soldiers behind Nazi enemy lines. Players have full freedom to shoot, blow up or demolish anything in their path and can call in special “Destruction on Demand” for added on-screen back up. The single player option includes 12 missions and multiplayer modes are available through the Xbox Live online game service.

“Relic Entertainment has created an innovative, next generation experience that truly pushes the Xbox 360 hardware to its limits, giving players the freedom to destroy everything in sight, call in Destruction on Demand at a moment’s notice and have hundreds of units battling it out simultaneously,” said Brad Carraway, director of global brand marketing, THQ, in a statement. “The critical and consumer anticipation for The Outfit has been tremendous and exemplifies the game’s groundbreaking originality and intense multiplayer action, which will give gamers something the World War II genre has never seen before.”

With the release date finally looming, Square Enix dropped a demo for the third-person shooter, which gives players a taste of what’s to come. The three-hour gameplay snippet features a handful of missions, a brief introduction to the game’s war-torn world, and a whole lot of shooting.

With the Xbox 360 being extremely outdated, the headsets designed specifically for it are not only obsolete, but nearly impossible to find new since the manufacturer doesn't make them anymore. Along with that, many current headsets aren't compatible with the Xbox 360, so you'll have to use one of the older ones that were popular in 2013.

And pretty soon, the Xbox One will be obsolete, too, since the next generation Xbox Series X will be headed to store shelves this holiday.
