Bang & Olufsen Unveil 40" LCD

High end Danish electronics maker Bang & Olufsen last week announced they had released their BeVision 7-40 LCD widescreen television. Bang & Olufsen’s latest television features a 40”display.   The 7-40, the company said, has an integrated DVD player and digital surround sound module as standard features. When the television is flipped on, it automatically adjusts picture quality to match the current lighting conditions. Other features include anti-reflection coating and a motorized tilt function, which can turn the screen to a selected viewing angle by touching a button on the remote. This latter feature can also be set to automatically adjust the angle when the television is first turned on.  “Evidence from the marketplace shows that when customers buy flat screen TVs, they go for larger screen sizes,” said Villy Hansen, Product Manager at Bang & Olufsen. “BeoVision 7-40 has a40″ LCD screen that adds that bit extra to the viewing experience, and still offers the best possible picture in all situations. BeoVision 7-40 provides the perfect balance between sound and pictureperformance, and the complete user interaction and experience. It also turns and tilts on your command!”   [story via eCoustics.com]

The new numbers also mean that YouTube TV has about four times as many subscribers as the third-highest service, which is Sling TV, at just over 2 million.
