Most people don’t start the rush to find the perfect holiday gift until after Thanksgiving. Instead of counting down the days until its too late and trying to make a last minute purchase, HTC is bringing the insane savings of Black Friday shopping well before the season starts.

Every Tuesday through the holiday season will feature a new Hot Deal from HTC.

Made to make your holiday shopping a breeze by bringing you awesome gifts at affordable prices, the offers will run between noon and midnight eastern. There’s a limited quantity available for each offer, so you’ll want to hop on them as soon as you can. If you can’t get in on the featured Hot Deal, HTC has you covered with a second offer available after the first deal expires.

This week’s offer takes 50 percent off phone accessories.

Discounted accessories include the recently-announced Rapid Charger 2.0, the Dot View case for the One M8, and HTC’s portable Bluetooth speaker, the Boombass. The discount is applied when you add items to the cart, so get to shopping before HTC runs out of accessories to sell. At the time of this writing, the Rapid Charger 2.0 is no longer available for purchase.

In previous weeks, HTC has offered the gorgeous HTC One M8, and the Nexus 9.

The unlocked Android version of HTC’s flagship handset will be available for $300 for the first 200 customers to claim the deal. That marks a savings of $350 off the initial retail price, which is a nice chunk of cash staying in your wallet.

Once the initial run is gone, 300 more people will have a chance to get the HTC One M8 for $500. It’s not quite the massive price cut as the first offer, but if you were going to pick up an HTC One M8 anyway, you might as well save on it when you have the chance.

The all-new Nexus 9 tablet (16GB model), was available for 50 percent off its retail price, making it just $200. Once the quantity of Nexus 9s price at half off are gone, the Hot Deal opens up to everyone to get $50 off the Nexus 9, 16GB or 32GB.

The iPhone 16 Camera Control is fun, but it could be better
Using the Camera Control on the iPhone 16 Pro.

Now that the year is starting to wind down, all the major flagship smartphone launches of 2024, including Apple’s iPhone 16 line, are behind us.

As an iPhone user for over the past decade, I found the iPhone 16 launch exciting, as Apple finally gave us some of the best darn colors for the base model in quite some time. And don’t forget that the base models also got quite a few features previously exclusive to the Pro models, like the Action button, a two-year jump in power with the A18, and the new Camera Control button that's on all iPhone 16 variations.

Last month, MKBHD launched his new wallpaper app, only for it to be met with a huge wave of criticism and backlash over its pricing structure and ads. The popular YouTuber responded to the criticisms in a post on X in a bid to soothe angry fans, but it didn't have the expected effect.

Samsung’s redesigned camera app will make you feel like Ansel Adams
The camera app running on the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE.

Riding on the heels of yesterday's announcement that Samsung's One UI 7 has been delayed until early 2025 comes a bit of news that makes the wait more bearable. Samsung is getting a redesigned camera app in One UI 7 that should make it dramatically more convenient to take photos using only one hand.

Android Authority shared a YouTube video and broke down the findings in it, but it's worth watching the clip on your own. It's just over 6 minutes long and provides a lot of information about the new interface.
