Marvel unveils pictures for Phase Two

Almost a year after phase one culminated with the successful production of The Avengers, Marvel has released a swath of new photos revealing some of their plans for Phase Two. Fans who bought the new “Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase OneAvengers Assembled Blu-ray box set” were directed to, where they were given exclusive access to a five-minute preview of Phase Two, along with a look behind the scenes and a treasure trove of concept images.

The shots are a mixture of live-action photos taken from movies currently in production and concept art for films that haven’t yet started principal photography. Among them are a handful of stills taken from the set of Thor: The Dark World, as well as a bunch of concept drawings for the upcoming films Captain America: Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy. Also included are a few shots from the test footage Edgar Wright created for his take on Ant Man, a film that isn’t slated for release until 2015 when Phase Three kicks off.
