It’s official — Instagram will now allow you to switch between accounts when on either Android or iOS. Social media managers, rejoice! Your day of deliverance has finally come. In a Monday blog post, Facebook-owned Instagram noted that the much anticipated functionality would be available in version 7.15 of the app. Now, super-grammers can manage up to five accounts simultaneously.

To access this new and improved feature, just go to your profile settings and tap the option to add an additional account. From then on, you simply tap your username at the top of your profile to switch between accounts. Once you have all your accounts set up, Instagram will be sure to let you know which one you’re posting with so that you don’t erroneously post a scandalous selfie to your work account.
A slew of reports last week noted that Instagram was testing the account-switching function with a number of iOS users, allowing them to switch accounts in a couple of taps instead of having to go through the laborious process of logging in and out of each one.
The much sought-after feature – among some users, at least – was also tested on Android toward the end of last year, though an APK download was required to make it work. No such extras are needed for the iOS version.
The ability to easily switch among accounts will save time and hassle for anyone with more than one Instagram account – think businesses, celebrities, keen photographers, Instagram addicts.
