Apple iPhone 4S pictures

The Apple 4S is finally upon us. After the myriad of rumors, fake reviews, and leaked emails we finally have the lowdown on what to expect from the next outing of iPhone goodness.

While the design of the iPhone 4S remains mostly unchanged, (iPhone 4 users can breathe a collective sigh of relief over the new antenna design) keeping the same screen real estate as the the iPhone 4, it’s what’s under the hood and the new features sprinkled throughout that are of note, namely iCloud support (which will allow user to back-up docs, media, and photos via Photo Stream),  and the eagerly awaited iOS 5. Apple also introduced a sophisticated voice control feature and mini personal assistant named Siri, which will allow you to talk to your phone, ask it questions, send emails/reminders, and other tasks like informing you on what the weather forecast for the day will be.

The iPhone 4S will also feature, as expected, a new dual-core A5 processor, similar to the one used in the iPad 2, which undoubtedly will help a lot with gaming.

The camera on the 4S has also received a face-lift in the form of an 8MP camera, offering 60 percent more pixels than the iPhone 4 and shoots 1.3 faster with a high-end IR filter for increased uniformity. Connection wise the iPhone 4S will features HSPA+, but sadly no support for 4G LTE.

Pre-orders for the 4S will begin October 7th, with a release date  scheduled for October 14th. Pricing for the new iPhone 4S is set at $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB, and $399 for 64GB with 2 year contract.

And finally, joining AT&T and Verizon to the exclusive list of iPhone carries is Sprint, who will now be able to offer the iPhone 4S to its customers.

Apple may release a completely new type of iPhone in 2025

The iPhone 16 isn’t even out yet, but that hasn’t stopped rumors about the iPhone 17 from swirling already. One of the latest comes from The Information, and it claims that a thinner iPhone 17 may be released in 2025 as a completely new addition to the lineup. It’s reported to be code-named D23 internally, and it’s expected to be a major redesign — potentially as big of a redesign as the iPhone X was in 2017.

The main changes for the D23 iPhone are a very thin body and a smaller cutout in the display. There’s also some talk that Apple may replace the Dynamic Island with a pinhole cutout, and we may see that as soon as the anticipated iPhone 16 launch this fall. Other changes might include moving the rear camera from the upper-left corner to the top center. The screen could fall somewhere between the 6.1 inches of the iPhone 16 Pro and 6.9 inches of the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
