Best iPad Mini screen protectors

The iPad Mini is a gorgeous little device. A sleek, comfortable design, great display, and a bountiful app marketplace make the tablet one of the best on the market. However, Apple products are not known for their rugged or impact-resistant build  nor do they hold up to scratches well. If you plan on taking your Mini on-the-go, why not take the time to purchase a little protection. Below are some of the best screen protectors available to ease that worried mind of yours. Be forewarned though, it’s not our fault if you can’t apply them properly.

Check out our picks for the best iPad Mini cases while you’re at it.

Zagg InvisibleSHIELD Series Screen Protectors ($28-$40)

Zagg was one of the first manufacturers to tap into the iPad Mini screen protector market, adding to its already impressive lineup of smartphone cases. The screen protectors feature 0.2-mm thick strips that cover your iPad Mini’s screen and frame, offering a bit more coverage and protection from the elements. Zagg’s Nano-Memory technology adds durability, maintains clarity, and reduces glare. The screen protectors vary in price by whichever model you choose, whether it is the smudge-proof option or the high-definition version, but the style and fit remains the same. And who can complain about a lifetime guarantee?

Tech Armor Anti-glare and Anti-fingerprint Screen Protector ($4)

Tech Armor offers one of the best dirt cheap screen protectors on the market. The company made a point to emphasis its “no compromise on clarity” approach to the film, adding screen protection that remains clear and maintains the responsiveness of your iPad’s display. It’s not top-notch, but the price is incredibly affordable and the product comes in a pack of three just in case.

  Skinomi TechSkin Screen Protector ($17)

Working on a tight budget? Skonmi’s TechSkin screen protector has got you covered. The film does a decent job of protecting your screen from any typical wear-and-tear it may face without breaking the bank. The first layer of film is scratch resistant and protects your iPad from harmful UV rays that can lead to yellowing. The second layer gives you a bit more puncture protection. It may be listed at $20, but you can usually score the screen protector at various online retailers for around $5.

Spigen SGP Steinheil Ultra Clear Crystal Screen Protector ($18)

Steinheil makes our best screen protectors list time and time again for a variety of different products. The Ultra Clear Crystal’s hard-coated film strip does a nice job of protecting your mini’s LCD screen, preventing glare and retaining clarity (should you install it properly). We are hoping the company adds a tempered glass screen protector in the near future, but we will have to wait and see come springtime.

  Wrapsol Ultra Screen Protector ($25)

Wrapsol produces one of the best screen protectors out there, but it’s a bit on the pricey side. The protective film is built using advanced high-strength polyurethane to help prevent scratches, withstand minor impacts, and help maintain the clarity of your iPad Mini. Plus, it comes with a lifetime replacement warranty and features a dry application process. Keep in mind that any bubbles that appear between the film and the screen should go away within a couple days.

Smartphones tend to have pretty good camera systems these days, whether you're talking about the very latest Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra or the iPhone 14. But even the perfect photo can sometimes need a little additional pizazz. A little extra sparkle can come in the form of a simple color filter, artificially added background blur, or can extend as far as diving into an image's levels and other advanced features. Heck, now that we're in the AI era, it can also include using a tool to transpose yourself into a medieval setting or swapping a face with a friend.

Latest reports hint at an announcement now set for "early May" this year where Apple will unveil the new iPad Pro and iPad Air models, even though a proper event seems unlikely. Despite Apple's suggested lack of fervor, these purported new iPad models are expected to bring significant changes, especially to the display.
