Hulu Plus now on Sony Bravia TVs, no invite required

Hulu Plus is going public. No, not an IPO, so put away your stock tickers. The service is now available to everyone who wishes to sign up, and on a few new devices as well including the new Sony Bravia TVs. Hulu Plus is a premium subscription service that gives users full season and series access to a number of shows on Hulu. Despite a few rumors to the contrary, Plus is still priced at $9.99.

“Over the past few weeks,” writes Rob Wong, director at Hulu, “we’ve added several titles to the Hulu Plus service, including new fall shows like Raising Hope, No Ordinary Family, and The Event, and back seasons of hit shows including Monk,Psych, and Battlestar Galactica. Today, we’re also happy to announce the availability of Hulu Plus on Sony Bravia 2010 TVs, with the service expanding to other Bravia devices in the near future.”

Since Hulu launched Plus in June, the premium service has been invitation-only. Hulu claims this was to help boost its infrastructure and get feedback from dedicated users. The company will be updating versions of its Plus app on devices like the PS3 in the near future, incorporating much of the feedback it has received. In September, Hulu announced that it will soon release Hulu Plus apps for Vizio TVs, Xbox 360, Roku boxes, and Tivo Premiere.

Hopefully these new changes will fix some of the problems with Hulu Plus. Netflix, the streaming company’s top competitor, always seems to be a few steps ahead. To subscribe to Plus, head here.

AMD’s upcoming APUs might destroy your GPU

The spec sheets for AMD's upcoming APU lineups, dubbed Strix Point and Strix Halo, have just been leaked, and it's safe to say that they're looking pretty impressive. Equipped with Zen 5 cores, the new APUs will find their way to laptops that are meant to be on the thinner side, but their performance might rival that of some of the best budget graphics cards -- and that's without having a discrete GPU.

While AMD hasn't unveiled Strix Point (STX) and Strix Halo (STX Halo) specs just yet, they were leaked by HKEPC and then shared by VideoCardz. The sheet goes over the maximum specs for each APU lineup, the first of which, Strix Point, is rumored to launch this year. Strix Halo, said to be significantly more powerful, is currently slated for a 2025 release.

Hyte made me fall in love with my gaming PC all over again

But Hyte's marriage of hardware, software, and accessories is in a league of its own -- and it transformed my PC build completely.

I've been using some of the foundational components of the ecosystem for about a week, retailoring a build inside of Hyte's own Y40 PC case to see how the system works. It doesn't seem too exciting at first -- Hyte released an all-in-one (AIO) liquid cooler, some fans, and a few RGB strips, who cares? But as I engaged more with the Nexus Link ecosystem, I only became more impressed.
